Disappointed with the class. Even more disappointed he was my advisor. Had no clue what classes I needed to graduate. Had to see department head to find out that I really could graduate when I planned. Would not want to go thru that again.

I had Dr. Topitzer for alot of different classes. I found him to be clear, fairly concise and enjoyable conversations in class. I found him to be a really good prof over. Either you like him or you don't. Not much middle ground. I thought he was excellent.

Worst teacher I've ever had. Since I had hopes of going into Medical Research this was an important class for my future, but I learned nothing about Research Methods. I asked him on several occasions for help, and he flat out REFUSED to help me because he didn't have the time. Makes zero sense! Never knew what to expect on tests/assignments.

This prof tells you exactly what to do: ask questions, do the readings, study and so on. For those who say he's a teach yourself kid of teacher, FYI: You're in college, not high school. I learned a lot from him and while many got bad grades I got an A because I read and studied what he said to and spoke in class which is stated in the syllabus!

He is not too bad. As long as you do the reading and ask questions in class about material you do not understand, it will be alright. He can be very boring and go on tangents, and his quizes are vague, but overall its not that bad. I have definately had worse teachers.

Basically he is highly book dependant. HE will talk about Russia and Vodka alot, which seems like fun but gets old quick. If you want to learn the subject on your own with little help take this guy. He will basically make u self sufficient.

Horrible teacher. Completely unclear. The man is so old and so boring youll never be able to stay awake. You need to read every chapter of the 3 books.. and he DOESNT go over the text.. he expects you to know it. He tells boring stories and grades ridiculously. Most people fail, youre lucky to get a C

Didn't think he was all that difficult of a professor, but he was definitely one of the most boring ones I've ever had. Didn't stimulate my interest in sociology at all, and makes students drop papers off at his office instead of just handing them in during class, so he wouldn't lose them. And then he still managed to lose some.

Worst teacher ever, he tells stories the whole class and rambles on the WHOLE time. Keeps talking until the last second before class ends, gave us a project that you have to use a floppy disk and Ms-dos for....which the project was created in 1988....never take him, it would be the worst mistake ever

Technology and Society. I still cringe at the thought. He is the absolute worst professor ever and should be fired. Didn't go over anything in class and talked about aliens the entire time. Doesn't reply to his emails and is old as hell. He ruined my entire first semester of college. Word of advice, drop the class!

Tech. in Soc. could have been interesting with a better professor. He is very unclear about his expectations, is always late/leaves early from his office hours, babbles about nothing during class, and all important assignments must be handed to him in office hours-I was late to my next class many times because of this!
