very bad, people are already stressed with corona virus are working from home and have families to care for. this professor is unfair and do not care. stay away.

Took online. Quizzes outdated with info not in new book, also had flat-out wrong info that disagreed with textbook. Baran didn't care when I told him about this. There's some decent info in this class, but his video lectures are boring. Tests were reasonable. My classmates did poorly as a whole, so I benefited from the curve as top of the class.

He's hilarious. Every class we laughed at something. Very interesting conversations. He's a good guy. Didn't do well on midterm but then studied hard for the final. Whatever he writes down on the board will be on final. It's a fun class! Would definitely take again.

Comment:

It took the 10 week summer class and it was the worst decision ever. 15 hours of lectures and not much time was given for quizzes so if you don't read, you'll fail. Mid term and final were taken online but you cant use notes or textbook because you had to login to some program where someone was watching you throughout the whole exam!

Knowledgeable and gives great industry examples, but does not have a good attitude. Gets impatient at students easily & was very unclear and even made mistakes when teaching the SPSS portion. Get the textbook - midterm took questions directly from the book. Start the questionnaire assignment early - that one takes up alot of time.

Saying this class is a lot to chew is putting it very lightly. I easily spent 5+ hr/week on this class because of the firehose approach used to teach video and text materials. Unlike the midterm, there were no final review materials nor was there communication concluding the class. The curve is heavy, but this class is A LOT of work. Final Grade: B

I work in marketing and was excited to take this class and put in the work. But the way this course was organized made me resent every moment in this course. My addition to the other reviews is that the quizzes & tests were all memorization based which is a poor way to show understanding of marketing concepts! Heavy curve, I still got an A.

Well, he curves. That's the only good thing I would take out of this class. Buy the book, read the book, remember his lectures and show up to class. If you ask questions, he won't like it, but you need answers, so ask them. He curves like crazy, which is helpful. He certainly knows his stuff, he just can't convey it properly.

He was by far the WORST professor at DePaul. I don't give negative reviews since I believe it also depends on the student's ability to grasp a subject. But he was beyond bad. His lectures weren't clear at all. He wouldn't answer questions and would look you down as if you are stupid for answering those questions. Save your time and money.

Wow i wish I had read these reviews before I signed up. I am frustrated and incredulous on his way of lecturing and his expectations for the midterm. He didn't even teach half the stuff he's going to test us on. Midterm review? No way. Read and hope for the best.

Gives you too many quizzes but not enough time to take them or complete them. Then he changes tge questions completely for your second try. I didn't mind his lectures, but his midterm was a joke. Out of all the teachers I've had a Depaul, he is the worse. Depaul need to look at his teaching and ask him to make adjustments. Do not take his class!

Horrible. Worst professor I have ever had. This guy stopped caring about his content and students learning a long time ago. Its obvious he made his syllabus and a "packet of information" as a crutch in order to say he's offered everything... but its everything but instruction. Avoid at all costs.

Grading: 30% Final, 30% Midterm, 30 Weekly Quizzes, 10% Discussion Board. Lectures aren't so entertaining and they will put you to sleep. Be careful with the textbook and ask for the IBSN. There is a curve on everything. 10 Quizzes total for 10 weeks along with 10 discussion boards. Not a terrible pro I would rather be in a live class.

Loves listening to himself speak and doesn't encourage class participation. His expectations are not clear at all - even when you ask for clarification. What I hated most about his lectures is when he would start bragging about how he got several professors expelled. Save your time and money and take the class with a different professor if you can.

Gives online quizzes that are challenging and meant to confuse you. You get two attempts only, 20 minutes per attempt, 25 questions each. The quiz variations have different questions, so don't try to throw the first one to get the correct answers and re-take it.

Stay away from MKT 555 online class by this professor!!!!!!! Oh my god, the most non interactive, non productive and outdated methods used for teaching. The prerecorded sessions will make you doze off in the first 10 mins. In severe need of upgrade.
