Comment:

I'm not the best at math, but I ended up with an A. The notes are all fill in the blank and it makes it easy to follow along. There's homework due every class but you can redo it until you make a 100 and Nowlin always offered to go over questions in class. Tests were fairly easy, but you need to study! The course was calculator based which helped.

Comment:

She's one of the best teachers I've had. She's super clear & straightforward with the material. It can be repetitive, but it definitely prepares you for the tests. Homework after every class, but you can do it as many times to get a 100 on it to boost your grade! She has a notebook you get with her notes & you fill in blanks, which I found helpful

Comment:

She rocks. Lets you use a note card for each test, and all the work is done on a calculator. She actually realizes that Statistics can be done on a calculator. What I mean by this, is that other stat classes force you to memorize everything, and you don't get to use a notecard. She is super sweet, understanding, and the online homework easy!

She is the best math professor at tcu, TAKE HER AND YOU WONT REGRET IT. I cannot stress how easy it was, it takes a lot of effort to fail this class, & Im not a math person. Before this class I had never gotten an A in math. She is such a sweet young lady & cares about her students. She lets you omit the final if you come to every class. online hw.

Margarita rocks. She is simple, the best math teacher I've ever had, nice, fun, and understanding. I thought calculus would be difficult, but it was basically a repeat of Pre-Calc with one or two new concepts. Grade is made up of 4 tests and daily homework. She seriously is the best, take her. No textbook, buy her notes packet from FrogPrints

I loved Professor Nowlin, she's so cute and very nice. This was the easiest math class I've ever taken and I hate math. She is super approachable so if you need to ask a question, theres no question that she'll help you. She can be kinda scatter-brained during her lectures, but if you can keep up with her you won't have a problem!

Comment:

Mrs. Nowlin is a very nice professor and, in my opinion, a great teacher. Her class is not easy (it's statistics after all) but she does a good job of expelling the topics. I was in her 2:00 class so by that time she had figured out how to explain the day's lesson in an effective, concise way so we often times got out of class 15-20 minutes early.

I have not met a nicer teacher than Professor Nowlin while at TCU. As a rising Soph I was very lucky to have her for Elementary Statistics. She will take the time to help you if you need it and all the homework online can be turned in for 100% if you just put in the short amount of time. If you have taken this class in highschool, prepare for an A.

THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. I am horrible at math but I made a 98 in this class with ease! She is so sweet and willing to help and has test reviews. TAKE HER!!!

She was amazing! Really sweet/funny personality and was always willing to help. The online homework was directly correlated to her lessons, and she makes a fill in the blank notebook so during class you can follow along with her examples. I'm not a math person, but Nowlin makes it easy.

Mrs. Nowlin is a very nice lady, but here class is very boring, and it was EXTREMELY hard to pay attention in. Found her pre cal class to be pretty tough, for a class that was not mandatory for me to take. If you think you can just get an easy A in her Pre Cal class, your very wrong, it takes a good bit of work.

terrible teaching style. Goes way too fast, tried to teach Calculus methods in a pre-Calc course, over complicated processes while teaching them and explained things to class as if we were already had our PhD in mathematics.

She was such a sweet teacher! i loved her teaching style with involved a notebook with notes already in them. Mandatory isn't mandatory but if you only miss one class you don't have to take the final. Make sure you get to know her and that she knows you and it will pay off! I highly suggest taking her for topics.

Extremely nicee.very helpful. you can tell she wants everyone to succeed. The textbook/online work/workbook don’t follow along with each other at all, this makes the class harder than it needs to be. Get a tutor. Go to class, if anything SHE is reallyy easy to look at!

Extremely nice and fun professor. You print out outlined notes, homework is online and easy. The tests are easy too. This class was a easy A for me. She takes attendance but not every class. I took her for Applied Pre Calculus. If you show up to class and do the online homework and review your notes before the test this class is an easy A.
