Comment:

Instructor is very knowledgeable and has been working in this field for quite some time. He's very clear about expectations of the class and will give you all the tools to succeed. I saw some of the other comments about how hard the classes were...all I can say about that is if you show up to class every day and do the reading, you will be fine.

Comment:

He is at the top of his field and involved with most NASA missions. He knows his stuff and knows what it takes to succeed; he drills his students for this reason. Don't take him if you want an easy A. If you're serious, he'll work you to death. He's fair and will help you. I got a job working for NASA, partly because of what I learned in his class.

Comment:

This was one of the most boring classes ever. He spent most of the class questioning why we didnt know the difference between obsidian and pumice... or he wondered why we didnt know how many volcanoes are on Earth. Hes not much of a teacher; However, he is a very smart man. looks a little like ObiWan Kenobi. haha

Comment:

Everyone said this class would be super easy, so thats what i expected. Not true though. The class is boring, the "quizzes" which are actually tests are hard, and you absolutely have to read the book. He just goes on and on in his lectures. He asks for questions but usually isnt very helpful. I wouldn't recommend this class.
