Not a very nice teacher. She was often grumpy when students did not participate, so she took it out on those who did. She didn't even know my name by the end of the semester, and the class was small. She is very smart though and I enjoyed the class.

Burwick is a very sweet professor, but Core II for the most part is just not a great class. Some discussions were interesting, but they often dragged on or were repetitive, and Burkwick could sometimes be a little boring. But still very helpful, and not too hard of a grader.

LOVED THIS CLASS! Burwick is an amazing professor, very good at listening and guiding discussion. She always was cheerful and excited by class! I recommend this class for anyone interested in learning about the real history of fairy tales.

I love Prof. Burwick! She's extremely sweet and is always there to help you if you need it. She was a great discussion leader and her class was really relaxed-- she's about the least intimidating professor you can find!

Fairy Tales needs better organization to be worth taking. The work load is light, but often repetitive and dull. Lectures were unstructured and I had trouble finding the thread of the course.

Fairy Tales with LeMaster was a good class, material was interesting. We kinda tended to go over the same points over and over, but still one of the best core II classes. Burwick's discussions are kinda boring, but she is really intelligent, and LeMaster's great discussions make up for it. I recommend this class for Core II.

I absolutely loved Professor Burwick, she is very friendly and takes a personal interest in all of her students. She readily makes time for you to meet her outside of the classroom to go over papers and get help for her class or anything.If you have her for any class, make sure you meet with her to go over papers and such,it really helps your grade

Burwick is a professor who is genuinely interested in helping her students. I wanted to be in the german hall but i applied too late, so i went to talk to her and she pulled strings and practically made the DOS let me into the hall even though they didn't want to. Great prof to get to know!

I adore Burwick; she's one of the sweetest people I ever met. She'd bring in German food for us whenever someone had a b-day and, when I wanted to learn more grammar, she started independently tutoring me ea. Monday morning.

Very cute in class together with Prof Krauss, and we watched lots of German films, which was different for a Core class. She graded easily and the class wasn't terrible. Just really boring sometimes - but Core II has a horrible format anyway with too many people.

Burwick is super-nice and if you show some knowledge of the readings and subject matter she's willing to help you out. Sometimes class was boring, but that was the nature of the class. Overall, she's a good prof and will help you if you need it.
