Comment:

Very direct and blunt teaching style. Huge disconnect between what she teaches in class and my math lab where the tests are pulled from. I like things to move along, but most classes are WAY too fast. Skims over things or blends together as if you already know the process. Forgets that were students still learning. 5 exams, hmwk and final. Study!

Mrs. Chandler only teaches at the Harbison campus. I was happy when my schedule lined up to take my math class there, but: she has been VERY snippy every class we've had. I have a thick skin, but she speaks in a condescending tone and AT people, not to them. Skips majors steps in teaching material like everyone already knows it. I'd reconsider this

Mrs. Chandler was a great professor! She repeats the information and makes sure that anyone who has a question gets a chance to ask. Felt very focused during her lectures. Has a great sense of style. Best math teacher Ive ever had! She helped a mathematical retard like me get an A. Gives good practice for homework, clear about what will be on test

Comment:

Very clear in what she is teaching. Basically if you study the material, you will definitely do well. I felt very engaged in the lectures with little confusion. Just make sure to complete the tests in the class period, because usually there is no extra time if test is not completed. In conclusion, one of the best math teachers I have ever had.

will echo some others that if your not a math whiz you need to pay attention and ask questions. she seems a little intimidating but will make sure you get it if you ask a question. you need the book but I like how she would work out problems on the board.

She is a very compassionate person and very helpful! I had a panic attack in class and could not even read my test. She let me stay in her class and work on my test when the next class came in. It took me until about half f that class before I could even read. It was horrible, but she was so sweet and even gave me a hug.

If you haven't taken math in a few semesters stay away from her. She teaches as though math will be your major. She's very sarcastic at times and sometimes mocks her students. If you want a good grade without all the hassle pick someone else. At one point she even told a student there was no point in them coming because they weren't going to pass.

Recommend for Summer. Will explain things til you understand it. Give homework like 5 questions per unit which is only 5 units. Bonus help for your grade :) Teaches step by step so ignore the first day message of not having a prior math class within 1 semester or etc.. Pay attention in class you and you will do fine.

Excellent instructor, and very willing to keep explaining something till everybody gets it. The daily homework assignments aren't graded, but you need to do them anyway, because her teaching method relies heavily on discussing the homework. If you don't know what questions you need to ask, that's on you. Highly recommended.

great teacher! she teaches really fast though, so if math is hard for you, and you cant keep up, dont take her class! Make sure you ask questions! she went through sections so fast, some days we went through three sections at once! other than that shes an amazing teacher!

I really liked this teacher. Would've picked her for 110 if I could. However, you do have to be really good at math and pay attention if you want to keep up with her fast pace. She does at least two sections a day but in my opinion she goes over it thoroughly with lots of examples. She allows of a lot time for questions too. Loved her!
