Comment:
DO NOT TAKE HER. I heard she is the hardest lab professor (from students who WORK in the chemistry department). You will NEVER get 100% on anything (labs and the lab questions). She is super PICKY about every minor detail. Lab exams are very difficult. She rambles, her notes do not make sense on the board and she is unorganized.

She is the MOST nit-picky grader! You'll never get a 100%. She's nice enough, the class isn't extremely hard. But she takes points off for very minor details.

I have her for lab, and it's abysmal. She's very smart, and she's organized. But she doesn't seem to understand that not everyone knows how to do the lab techniques. She's not very approachable. She also doesn't talk loudly enough for me to clearly hear her. Maybe she's good for lecture, but I wouldn't take her for lab again.

She is a great lab professor. She spends quite a bit of time lecturing at the beginning of lab but it is all helpful info for the lab or problem set. She is always willing to help if you don't understand. Would definitely recommend her for lab.

she was my 300 lab teacher and the best i have ever had. a lot of teachers can make you feel stupid when you ask questions but she was great. extremely helpful and very clear on explaining the experiments and makes what your doing understandable. i would recommend

she is the worst lab teacher EVER. She is soooo picky on the reports as well as on the quizes. She is always rambling on about the lab and it does not help out while actually doing the lab. I hated going to this class eventhough it was just one day a week and was counting down the days when i no longer have to go.

i agree that it's almost impossible to get perfect scores on lab reports. she is very, very picky. she has a hawk's eye, i agree. there should be better lab instructors. but, she is not all that bad either.

It is very difficult to get all the points on the lab reports or the questions that go along with them, but Dr. Koster is very knowledgable and is great at answering questions. She's very helpful if you get stuck or something goes wrong during lab also! Take her if you can.

This was the best part of Organic chemistry series. She always explained things and very will to help with questions. Test can be a bit tricky and hard to study for but otherwise she was a great lab instructor.
