Comment:
Shelley cares about student's learning which is evident through group activities that expand on lecture content. While the material is easy, quiz questions were hard. However, this is balanced out by the opportunity to take the quiz with a group, which is worth more than the individual part. Her personal beliefs sometimes contradict the literature.

Going to class is easy, just boring. Mulligan doesn't really know what she is talking about half of the time, but the material is easy, so it doesn't really matter. The textbook isn't needed, so don't buy it. She grades team assignments hard, so make sure to do those well. The test questions are like mini casestudies, so don't bother studying facts

Mulligan is a great professor who uses team learning to encourage discussion and understanding rather than just memorization. Quizzes are graded by an independent and team grade, and a good chunk of your grade is papers. Helped me further my career outside of class.

Don't bother reading the textbook, she just covers it all in class. Extremely tedious lectures. I feel like I know more from my own experiences with childcare than I learned this semester. Test questions are very tricky, often due to complicated wording. This class is an easy A, but also an easy Zzz...

Sitting in her class and listening to her read off of her slides is akin to watching paint dry.

Shelley is a good professor, however she is very open about putting trick questions on the quizzes. Most of my knowledge while taking quizzes doesn't come from the lecture or the book, but from my experience with kids. Whenever I got a question wrong, it wasn't from lack of knowledge, it was from tricky wording. But the content wasn't that hard.

Shelley is a really passionate professor. The lectures often seem to drag on, but it helps that the content is interesting. There are four quizzes and a final throughout the course, and the quiz questions are pretty confusing and worded weird, but they are only worth 4% of your grade. Easy A and really interesting class!

Not a bad class. It's pretty much all powerpoint lectures. You have a paper due each week basically and only two tests, a midterm and a final. Shelley is pretty funny at times and a good person.

Easy course. Covers basics from psychology and human anatomy. Professor seemed to know what she was talking about and seemed enthusiastic about the material. Different teachign methods were used; group activities, videos, straight lectures, and so on.

Child development is a very interesting class. I learn a lot about myself and my family from things we learn. She has online quizes whihc are impossible not to get almost perfect scores, there are a couple of three page papers, whihc you might get a point or two off, and there are some projects whihc are writing on page papers. You will get an A!
