Comment:

This woman will make you purchase tickets for theatre and dance performances which is a total waste of money. Also you will have to prove that you have purchased the ticket. For a class like this, it should be an easy A, still she makes it hard so that students do not get A. Her slides are not informative. Makes a big deal out of this class.

Comment:

She is very helpful if you have any questions, and she is very fair when it comes to grading. While it's an easy A, make sure you always attend class to watch the videos since test questions come from directly from there. Overall, there probably isn't a better class you could take for your arts credit.

Literally just go to class and somewhat pay attention and you're set. 2 exams based off what she says in class, 2 online quizzes that are worth 5 points each and 2 performances that you answer 5 questions about. Everything is based off videos and movies you watch in class. Easiest art gen ed available.

As a theatre major this class is completely useless. She's not very open to opinions that are not her own and will voice that when you try to add in your own thoughts. I didn't come out of the class knowing a single thing that I didn't know going into it. Easy course but a complete waste of time.

Very easy class, but I did not like her as a professor at all. Majority of her tests were easy questions, but about 20% of the questions would be on very very specific details which you missed and therefore take away your easy A. Good class for Arts requirement, but make sure you pay attention and don't blow off the entire class.

Very nice woman, who wants you to succeed. You have to go to class and take decent notes. Almost every class is a movie shown and questions you should fill out for later. Easy if you go to class. Again, nice person, above average professor.

GREAT class. Super easy teacher, as in she is easy to understand and the test are so simple. Gives online quizzes that you can get 100s on. It's really hard not to get an A in the class. Go to all of the lectures though because if you miss videos that she shows, you will be screwed for the exams. Simple elective!!

Really nice and really easy to get an A as long as you attend class, pay attention, and do the three critiques on live performances. The critiques are easy and short. The class is really interesting and we watched a ton of videos. All the tests and quizzes are done online. There are a few discussion board homework assignments.

Fairly easy class, although I have to say it was a little more work than I had expected out of this class. The biggest thing to remember is to MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND 3 PERFORMANCES AND DO THE CRITIQUES. They are worth something like 80% of your grade and can be deceiving when they are only shown as out of 10 points on UB Learns.

Probably the single greatest class here. All you do is watch movies, and you actually learn some pretty neat stuff. 3 test are all multiple choice and a joke. Take for a fun and easy A. Teacher is wonderful!!

For this class just show up and watch movies. She takes attendance, but it really isn't that much to ask to come and fill out a 10-question worksheet while watching a movie. The tests are based on the sheets you fill out during class. Modern films and topics are discussed. You have to see one play and one dance performance, Easy Art Credit and A.
