Comment:
At the beginning of the semester, Dr. Poznar was amazing in class. As each essay passed her grading standards become unclear. Each essay would be graded differently than before (she counted off of something I did on one essay but on the next she counted me off for not). Her lectures are amazing, but if she doesn't agree with you then you're wrong.

A very strict grader, which makes her somewhat infamous with the students around campus. So long as you do the work she assigns and really put in an effort to understand the reading, you'll do great.

I really like the material covered from the text. Dr Poznar really challenges you, but it is wonderful class. Go to class on time (there is a quiz at the beginning everyday), READ, do your postings!! She is a really tough grader on papers, but that is her job as an English professor. She is really helpful too.

She gives quizzes every class, but lets you make them up if you can't be there. Quizzes and posts on every reading, so do the readings. Dr. Poznar is a tough grader on papers, but go to her office hours and she'll help you. She really wants to make you a better writer and expose you to new ideas. I loved this class!

She gives helpful feedback when grading papers. Provides plenty of handouts on Blackboard for the major assignments. Her tegrity videos were hard to sit through. She seems like she would be much more engaging in person, rather than online.

I've taken Poznar for three courses and she's not. She's understanding and will work with you, if you put forth effort and attend class. You will have to read every night before class, and she's a tough grader, so just support your idea. Also, she counts off for missing class, so just email with a good excuse when you miss class.

For World Lit I you have readings every night & have to post about them on blackboard, 3 or more a week and end up with around 100 points, but she doesn't grade it 3 a week, she starts with the first week 3 out of 100 & adds to it each week. So, she makes your grade a C or below until the last few weeks. She also seems helpful but actually is not.

She will give you good grades if you have similar opinions to her, and you don't actually have to read anything. Sparknotes is your best friend now.

Ridiculous. I had Poznar for the first half of British Literature and it was exceedingly easier than the second part. She would offer assistance for those who needed it but anytime I tried to participate in class, she gave me the weirdest look, like I was a complete idiot. I definitely do not recommend her to anyone. Take someone else if you can.

The issue I had with Poznar was her inability to see different points of view. She grades based on her own interest in the work you chose to cover and if your opinions match up to hers. Anytime I offered my opinion she would look at me as if I had started speaking Greek. I ended the semester with a 79.4% which she rounded to a C.

Do not take Poznar EVER!!!!!!! She doesn't grade on performance alone. She factors her opinion of you into your grade. She doesn't treat students like adults even the non-traditional ones! She chooses very controversial topics to read about and discuss then has a problem with highly opinionated students. We never once used the Little Brown Book.

Extremely hard grader! Make no comma errors, colon, or semicolon error she counts off a lot. Make sure when writing any paper you use ALL active voice sentences or she comments not concise or clear!! Class in mandatory and dont pull out your phone or she marks you as absent! Would not recommend if looking for an easy class!

I had her for World Lit online and the class was a nightmare. We had readings every week and most of them were very hard to understand. We had to post under a discussion board 4 times a week for points. She was nice, but the work was pointless to me and boring. I would not reccomend her online class. Way too much and way too hard.

Her lectures aren't too interesting and she can be a strict grader on essays but overall this class is tolerable. She is really good about emailing absent students with next class's reading assignments so you don't have to go to her office.

I had Dr. Poznar for Advanced Comp. She is a wonderful teacher, and a fantastic person! I loved her, she was a joy. She is a bit tough, but rightfully so. It's not an entrance level class, it's advanced. She has a good sense of humor and she will let you turn things in late if you have a good excuse and she knows you pretty well, so be her friend!

Unfair with scoring. Let some resubmit work and others not. Told us if we were exempt from our final (90 or above) before grading the final paper which was above 30 percent of our grade...tell me who that adds up. Final exam pretty easy, she tells you exactly what to study.

Great teacher. If you are in college to actually learn something than take her class. You actually come out of the room feeling like you used your brain.

She's a good teacher, and very sweet. She grades fairly and gives plenty of opportunity to do well in the class. I assume that most of the people who gave her poor ratings are undergrads and not used to the spoon-feeding you get in high school. I recommend her highly.

I took intro to World Lit with her and it was easy but the discussions drag on for what seems like forever. The class is incredible boring and her choice of stories aren't the best. But overall its a pretty easy class.
