Dont do it! This guy skips around from section to section. One day your homework will be 2.4, 5.3, and 3.2. He gives little explanation on solving problems, lists homework that you are not to turn in, and then skips ahead two chapters. He gives weekly quizzes on five different chapters that he has minimally guided you through.

Prof Killian is a great professor and an amazing mathematician. I highly recommend taking his precalc or calc1 class. Prof Killian showed us how to derive trig formulas on the fly in the event that you can't remember them off hand. The real nuts and bolts of mathematics. I highly recommend taking any course Prof Killian teaches.

Prof Killian kills it. Great explanations. Gives various examples. Explains his thought process. Answers questions. Quizzes every week. No calculator but don't really need it. Pace is pretty quick. Available outside of class. Tests are similar to hw questions which is great. Does not collect HW. Grade is based on quizzes and tests only. Snarky.

He doesnt really explain things well and you are better off not taking this class or finding another professor, he makes stuff complicated and then forgets to teach you stuff on the midterm/final.

There comes a time in one's life where you're too old to teach. He always makes mistakes during lecture. He makes a lot of assumptions. Skips steps. I have gotten an A in every math class but haven't passed one quiz or exam. Do not take!

One of the best math professors I've had. He does skip steps sometimes, but if you ask he will explain the skipped steps. He gives a ton of time for questions and answers them clearly. Homework is optional but it's math and if you want to pass with an A you'll do the homework.

He's a great teacher and honestly one of the best teachers I've ever had period. I had him over the winter session which is already a tough class but he made it enjoyable and easy to understand. If you put in effort then he will help you succeed.

Nice guy not a good professor, when solving problems he skips a lot of steps assuming students know what he did. Homework is not mandatory since he doesn't check it but you're better off getting the textbook since it will break the steps down.

Professor Killian is passionate about math, but very bad at actually teaching it. When solving a problem or showing an example, he will skip most of the steps expecting you to know what he did. He never explains what he is doing or how he got to the answer. The class began with 80 students and by the end of the semester there were only around 20.

Very poor instructor. He just shows examples, but does not teach. He is more the instructing type, without the want to explain. Very friendly person, but expects you to know the material. If you are not very good at math, I would suggest a different instructor. Quizzes and exams are easy though

I took professor Killian for math 47. He doesn't give any homeworks but only quizes, midterm, and cumulative final. His quizes and exams are easy; not surprising at all. But when students ask him questions, he doesn't really give clear answers.

Worse math teacher I could possibly have for math. Doesn't explain anything just write on the board. When someone says something he takes it as critisim, so it's best not to ask questions. Pretty useless when asking for help.

Extremely knowledgeable in applied mathematics. As a math major, I found him a delight to talk with outside of class. I like his teaching style: weekly quizzes over turning in homework. He is middle of road on the easy to hard scale. If you are math or science major I think you will enjoy his straight forward teaching approach.

Took Mr. Killian for Math 110 & 130. Probably one of the nicest professors I've ever had. Answered every question with care and concern. Assigned HW but didn't collect. Weekly quizzes, but always what was just studied. Midterm was discussed in-deph beforehand, as was Final. I feel bad that people degrade him for his age. A great teacher.

Professor Killian is ready to retire. He isn't the best of math teachers, isn't very clear, and isn't very helpful. When you ask a question, he will only lead you to more confusion.A strong algebra foundation is required for his class. The breakdown: 9 quizzes, midterm, and cumulative final.
