McAdams is the author of the required textbook for this class and is very strict about you reading it before class. Tests are EXTREMELY difficult. Be prepared to decide 3 cases that you've never discussed in class. He does curve the class so that 80% and above is an A but that's because his expectations are so high. GOOD LUCK!

Comment:

Very knowledgeable teacher. Teaches class like its an advanced business law course. Paper worth a test grade, 2 chapter tests, and a comp. final. Tests are multiple choice and 2 analyzations of law cases for the essays. Pretty difficult, but if you attend every class and have knowledgeable discussions with him, you'll be fine.

He's a good professor for a law class and does a good job making you think outside the box. The thing is constantly going over cases can get somewhat old after a while. But I'm not really a law kind of person. I'm sure if you really enjoyed that stuff you'd love this class. Be prepared for some tough case and T/F questions on tests.

He is a nice guy, but expects way too much from you on the tests. If your answers aren't exactly what he believes you won't get very many points. During lectures he would call on the same three people each day which got incredibly boring.

I learned a lot in this class. You can tell he really cares about what he does. You have to work for the grade. He's not easy, but definitely worth the challenge. I respect him highly and would take the class again! He wrote the textbook, too!

Avoid him like the plague. His classes are damn boring and horribly difficult. I have always been an A- student and I got a C+ for his class. I took this when I was doing my MBA (this undergrad class a was a pre-requisite).

I loved coming to his class! He kept it interesting and challenging, forces you to come prepared because there is a lot of class discussion. Definitely recommend this class as long as you come prepared everyday.

Super nice professor. Very interesting. Lots of good stories from his life to go with his work. Attendance not mandetory, but extremely helpful when it comes to test time. Very understanding and helpful. Take his classes!

business law. lets you substitute a project for each test if want to but then later says cant do that so dont count on doing that. tests are hard and unclear, have to have everything exactly right to get a decent grade. isnt very helpful or clear on what he wants from students. wouldnt recommend taking him.

Amazing! One of the best teachers I've eCver had. Forces you to think outside the box, challenges you but keeps realistic expectations. Comes prepared to class, has very interesting lectures, really cares about your learning.

Unbelievably hard. Likes to talk to cute girls or smart guys. None of the online links cited in his book work. Essays for exams are ridiculously difficult. He is very arrogant and rude.

Best professor I have had at UNI, Hands Down. Learned the most in his class and found myself wanting to go to class. Very clear and knows what he is talking about. Makes it fun. Wrote the book. Hard class though, you gotta study. Grades very tough but if you get through it, you get the grade you deserve.

He's an extremely rude guy and is such a jerk to students that he needs to be given a job in the corner that requires no contact with the students. JERk

I need signed into HRD and he refused. He told me my grades were too bad and If I was behind then I should have to suffer the consequences. Iwanted the class to get my TDD certificate and I am graduating one semester early with a 3.45 GPA. He never even looked at my grade reports. He should be fired
