Best professor i've ever had, so caring and will help his student's out in any way he can. Only had 3 tests and they were take home, you don't have to pay attention to his lectures to get an easy A. 10/10

Mr. Kelley was the best teacher I had in my 2 semesters at New River Community College. If you are going to take a SOC class, makes sure its with Mr. Kelley. I took him in the spring and his lectures were very interesting, very down to earth kind of teacher. Just study for the tests and go to class and you should be able to get an A.

Very good natured. He's a bit confused between the difference of sociology and political activism. He rejects the structural and functional schools of sociology in lieu for political activism even if facts don't agree with him. Minimum IQ you need: ~85. Personality: political. He's a very easy A. You won't learn sociology well with him.

I really, really enjoyed this class. It's nice to be in the political minority with your instructor, I think, and I personally enjoyed all of his soapbox rants. It's a shame that he'll be retiring summer '07, for his classes are some of the best. If you can get him for his last half-semester intro class, I highly advise you do so.

Great teacher. May be biased...but atleast he is upfront about it. Loves a challenge... but you had better have your info correct. Has his tangents....but has lead a very interesting and humorous life. His stories will keep you interested. Recommend him to everyone! Wonderful man, who will help you any way he can!
