Comment:

Take it online w this professor for an easy class, simulations are a little annoying but they help with real world practice. The professor barely taught material, classes were spent messing with video feed and discussing the first five slides of a lesson we had already done. Hybrid is good in concept but only with effective, tech savvy teacher.

Comment:

He's nice and seems willing to work with you, but I'm not fully sure he even knew what he was doing. I felt like I learned nothing from this class, which is a disappointment because I was actually interested in how to build a database. Everything I learned was from classmates and the book. He simply read off slides and did no demonstrations.

Comment:

Mr. Buckley is a great professor he doesn't get much credit for his style of teaching. In my experience he does teach solely from PowerPoint, but is always willing to assist when you need help. Our final exam was similar to an example that he gave at the beginning of the semester that didn't make since at first. However, by the exam it was easy.

Literally the only reason I passed this class with a decent grade is because I made sure to do all work on myITlab. He was VERY monotone and read straight from the slides during lecture. Didn't pass a single test, not even 1, as well as most of my classmates. Coursework & tests don't match up at all.

No hands on work at all. I can honestly say I wasted my money because I truly feel like I did not learn anything at all. All you will get is PowerPoints. He is late to class and when he gets there it's like he just woke up. Horrible instructor. Waste of time here.

Nice man, but all he does is read from a slide every class. The class isn't very hands on so I felt like I haven't learned anything along with other classmates. When you ask him a question, he answers maybe half the question and changes the subject. He's very unorganized which caused confusion in my whole class. He's horrible at answering emails.

A very nice guy and somebody I would work with (if his programming stories are to be believed) but college isn't free, and people should know what they are getting into. The class was completely worthless, you cannot teach a language with dry, example-free powerpoint slides and old anecdotes. That's all it was. Can't teach to save his life.

He is always late & unorganized IF he shows up. No notice that class is cancelled. Not clear with assignments and loves to hear himself talk about being on TERI. Does not reply to emails and did not give an updated syllabus (It was almost 2 year old). He sets his students up to fail. I will never take him again. IF I have to I'll change schools.

I took professor Buckley for CPT 101 over the summer. He was a fairly good professor but told ALOT of irrelevant stories that made it hard to stay focused. There is a lot of fairly difficult homework, but he WILL help you if you ask. He is definitely a nice person, and is understanding with late work. You MUST use the book!

not too demanding...he looks out meaning he is willing to accept late assignments...he took attendance everyday!!!! I never studied for any of his test came out the class with a B...kind of weird too...he teaches straight from powerpoints...class was boring to me but if you like computers you will be fine

Mr Buckley is a very nice guy, however he is late to every single class, and extremely unorganized. Assignments were not clear, and I am a computer dunce so I was very disappointed to not get more out of the class. However, he is very understanding when confusion occurs and works with you. Overall, it was an easy A, but a stressful class.

He's a very nice guy. He's not very organized, and that can be frustrating. On the other hand, he's very willing to help you understand the material and do well in the class. Take the initiative and ask questions, and you'll learn a lot and get a good grade, but don't expect him to spoon feed you.

Mr. Buckley is a very laid back teacher. He is understanding when it comes to life getting in the way and is willing to work with you in about everything. His lectures are only power points and his on time attendance is not great but since he is not on time he is more understanding when you can not be. He is a good teacher with some problems.

Kool dude...If you don't know a thing about computers, and are willing to sit through boring lectures, and just show up for class, your good. Will give you the benefit of the doubt, as long as you show up to class and attempt to do some work !!! Don't know how the heck I even made a B in that class.

This class was actually very easy. The professor is very laid back, but he is very unorganized. If you forget to do your homework, its doesn't seem to be a big deal to him. You can get an easy A in this class but if you want a teacher who is organized with assignments and stuff, this might not be the professor for you.

Buckley is not very organized. He can be quite confusing about what he wants. I think he used class lab time to grade our tests and projects. If the subject you're planning on taking with him seems difficult and you think it requires help...you may want to check another professor.

He is a jerk. If you wanted to learn, you couldn't count on him to be of any help. Reading powerpoints on a programming language does not teach you said programming language.

if I never have to take another class with Buckley it will be too soon. All he does in class is talk (about this, that and the other) and about half the time when he talks its about how 'fair' he is trying to be. Forget doing stuff on lab days. He wants your attention every five minutes. He even talks during the test.
