Comment:

He is a tough grader, but if you do the work for the class and exactly as the directions say you can do good. Definitely think hard about this class, he's not a decent person as he is very derogatory and if you're offended easily this isn't for you. He is deaf, which isn't helpful in lectures as he cannot hear you. I wouldn't recommend this class.

Course was heavy on non-personal writing, which it should be. Tech writing is all about details and formats. The professor is smart and knows what you need to get through the class. Unprepared or lazy students won't make it. Serious students who care about learning should take his classes.

This is hands down the worst class Ive ever taken. He is so mean and made so many derogatory comments. He never explains anything and just says to look in the book (when the book doesnt even correlate with the assignment!!!). I learned absolutely nothing except how to only get Cs and Ds on papers. I dare you to get better, he wont even help!

Anybody rating Cavaluzzi low obviously failed his class. Hes an honest professor and doesnt sugarcoat, if you do the work and simply read the textbook, the class will be easy. Not the most exuberant in his lectures but gets the point across. If you arent lazy like some of these fellow people giving 1 ratings, you will get an A.

This man is easily the worst teacher I have ever had and that is saying a lot because I was taught most of my life in Russia. This teacher is often demeaning and rude. This teacher is the worst teacher Ive ever had. He is demeaning and puts the students down. He calls us names and uses swear words. I can say that I have not learned a single thing from this class. If you think you will do good, you wont. Not with this teacher. People that are good at English wont do good either. This teacher is bad.

Mr. Cavaluzzi is the smartest instructor at this school. He knows more about literature, film, politics than any other teacher I have ever met or taken. If you want to learn, than you should take any course he offers. You will never regret it.

Cavaluzzi is an extremely hard teacher. On the first day of class he blaitenly says that you will be lucky to get a C+ in his class which is ironic because he only gives C+. Often says rude comments towards his students particularly women. He doesnt allow any absences in his class and if you are absent he will remind you for the remaining semester

If you want an honest opinion, Professor Cavaluzzi is the man you go to. He expects a lot from students because he wants them to succeed. Show up, do the work, and ASK him if there is any cofusion about the course. He hates excuses the most, so don't even try because he doesn't care much for them.

Starts off his first class repeatedly stating your opinions don't matter. He is hard of hearing you practically have to shout at him for him to hear you. He grades very hard and will never miss or cancel class. Most of your class will probably withdraw and I recommend that you do too..

I usually don't write here but after reading the last comment, I had to say something. I was in World Lit. The reading selections are amazing. The lectures are informative. If you ask him for help he will give it. The person who said the class sucked didn't even write the correct course number. What a dope! I say take his course!

I had him for wold lit and it was awful. He hands out essays with confusing questions. I went to the center for reading and writing to get help with my essay. Even with their help I still got a poor grade on my paper. This class sucked and I would not recommend taking.

He is all about the work, all business. There are jokes, but the class is serious. You have to pay attention or you will miss important information. Be ready to do the work and you will learn. Be lazy and you will never make it.

Grades really hard. He loves talking, and very opinionated (don't argue, you won't win) He wears a suit everyday, and never missed a class. He talks extremely loud. Essays were not clear on what we were suppose to write and then graded them harshly.

What a difference from my ENG 101 professor! This professor knows his stuff and will not let you get by with shaky opinions. I am learning to think about my ideas before I just blurt them. Every student ought to be required to take this course to learn how to think.
