Comment:
Professor Major is a bit nutty. The class was simple and an easy A, but his lectures were ridiculous. He finds a way to fit in his experience and who he knows into every lecture. He definitely thinks highly of himself. He even thinks he's the reason music videos exist the way they do. It was like watching a watered down Michael Scott teach a class.

Professor Major was a lot of fun to have. Lots of industry experience and fun anecdotes. The class is pretty straightfoward: read the book, watch the movie, write a short essay. Every week. Should take again.

I loved this class and Professor Major so much. It was very hands on and Prof Major even made sure we were comfortable enough with the equipment to use it without him there. I have really grown from taking this class and I wish it was longer. Professor Major really cares about each student and wants us to succeed; in life, not just in the class.

This was an in-person class. Complete Nonsense. Had ZERO assignments. Just had to email him once with basically a list of questions for interviews. What were we being graded on? I got an A-. When I saw that -, I was pissed off. What could I have done differently to get an A given that there were no assignments? Clueless, useless professor.

Worst "teacher" ever. Doesn't teach anything, just goes off on irrelevant hour-long stories. Useless.

One of the worst I have ever had. He is very tricky and takes a while to give back grades. Not only that, he plays favorites A LOT. If you can take another teacher, do it and save yourself the trouble.

Really nice. Goes off on tangents but overall a nice guy who wants to help his students. I was expecting an A because I participated and never missed a class but I got a B+.

He's a nice guy, but goes off on many tangents. He basically just read out of the book. He's not that helpful overall. If you dont care about learning a great deal then take him, if you care more about actual learning than a grade, don't take him.

It is one of my core classes, so had to take it. Two group projects and a couple of writing assignments. Very boring class, he always lives in his own world, brags too much about himself, not helpful at all with all the assignment. Overall the class is not that hard, just go to class and sit there play computer.

Talks a lot about his previous life experiences, but most of them hold merit. If you really take his advice, you will become better on camera. Very easy, laid back class, had a blast.

Major is not fit to teach. He speaks about film and the industry as though no one in the class knows anything about it. He lectures on common sense. His methods are tiresome and uninspired and he shows films with little to no merit. Easy but at the cost of time and braincells.

Talentless hack who drops more names than knowledge and harbors delusions of grandeur about discovering Brad Pitt. Don't buy the book -- you will NEVER use it. This class was a stressful, gargantuan waste of my time. I am disgusted that UCF allows this man near the film department.

Most insane person I have ever encountered. As an actor and a director, neglected reading scripts in favor of watching TV or Movie adaptations... unintentional hilarity ensued.
