Comment:

Wow. She has a gift for teaching. I put more study hours in this class than any other I took this semester but came out with such a profound sense of satisfaction. Front and back 8 by 11 cheat sheet- use printer paper, write all essays on it (or at least main points), study multiple choice in work book and you can get a B or higher on every exam.

Comment:

Professor Cohen was an awesome person. She was very good with explaining all the information that she needed to teach. The work book helps a lot on the exam mostly the essay part is what you need to pay closer attention to to get an excellent grade on the exams!

Comment:

Good teacher. She wants her students to succeed. Book is expensive and unbound and you can't take it back. She goes through everything in class so if you take notes, no point in buying the book. Tests are very similar to reviews/study guides.

Tough, but fair. lots of class participation, and she is interested in what you have to say. essay questions are not easy, but study and research and an A is quite possible. You get a cheat sheet front in back, what more can you ask for!

I loved Professor Cohen! Loved the class discussions, and the lectures correlated well each week. Very organized and structured course, she is a very intelligent woman and knows what she is talking about. As long as you properly study and take good notes, you will do grat! Also make sure to work hardn the final project, it's important!

Interesting class, she is obviously well educated and tends to like the students who are quite smart. She calls out people who do well on tests, and says nothing to the ones who do not. I did well on the exam questions but when it came to the essay questions got marked down for lack of a novel. final project - taking up too much time, DIFFICULT.

Good professor! All you have to do is attend, take notes & do good on tests. Also the final project is everything, so group up good! ;) She repeats herself while giving notes so you should have everything you need for the test. Stay on her good side though, she can be rude to students she doesn't like, but overall I'd recommend her!

The exams are so unpredictable, you have to write exactly what she wants to get full points. The bonus questions are bogus you will never get extra credit. She is very nosey also about your personal life and your beliefs. She is rude and her exams are awful.

This is actually my favorite class, she makes it easy to learn and I find almost everything we talk about to be interisting. I had surgery during the semester and she worked around that with me, she is a very good professor. I wish that she taught other sociology classes too.

Professor Cohen keeps this class open for student discussions & opinions based on class subject matter. Her workbook is highly structured and provides clear information regarding class lectures and exams. I highly recommend this class for those interested in Sociology and who are willing to actually study and work. She is not an easy A.

She's a horrible professor. All of her lectures are based on what she wants to teach you on that specific day. If you miss a class. She does not use the class time effectively. She needs to learn how to run her class instead of allowing anyone to talk whenever they want. If you have the option, choose another professor.

The essays on exams are the most important, it's not impossible to get them on your own but it is difficult. She offers a tutoring session once a week and you get everything you need for the essays there. If you don't have those you will fail the exam... promise. terrible at emailing back. lots of notes that you don't need. final project is easy

If coming to class, paying attention, and writing notes is something that you can do, then you can EASILY get an A. She lets you use a cheat sheet on every test and you know exactly what is on her tests before you even take them && She gives extra credit on every test! She keeps her class interesting and fun to attend which is a BIG plus for me!

Great Teacher, makes subject very interesting. Very willing to help students. If you work hard for a good grade, you will get one. Extra credit on each exam and she tells you exactly what will be on it. Take good notes for your cheat sheets that she allows. Also has "study groups" that basically give you every question that will be on exam.Loved h

She is really, really big on notes. You take notes almost the entire class, everyday. Also, she seems a bit prejudice towards guys. She's not **** and it won't effect your grade, I just got that vibe in her lectures. But she shows interest in the topic and does let you out early to work on your group project.

She was an amazing prof. As long as you attend class, pay attention and take notes, you are guaranteed a good grade. She is very fair and willing to help if you are struggling. I enjoyed having her and I recommend her
