Makes attendance mandatory, even for excused absences - miss more than 6 classes & she won't let you complete the final presentation. Unclear & inconsistent marker. Scatterbrained during lectures, jumps between topics a lot & often contradicts herself on grammar/citation rules lecture to lecture. Will proof read your paper, do this! Don't take her!

COMM3321 at NAIT. Has two hearing aids so has a hard time hearing students. Told us during our oral presentations that her batteries were low and she was having trouble hearing. Can't remember what she taught in the last class. Also if you make an error citing references will give your paper a grade of 0 for plagiarism. Had an 3.5 gpa before her.

She doesn't mark with a proper standard of care. She marks you compared to herself, rather than the average student. Since she has a PhD, you will be getting a pretty poor mark unless you can write like someone with a PhD. She also holds grudges, I've seen this happen to some students.

She's not clear on any of her assignments. If you are an A student be prepared to be surprised by how she grades you. Absolutely no clarification on her grading system. Tough marker for sure. I will never take another class with her again. Don't bother with this teacher! Don't waste your money!!!

She is so wacked! Instructions are very wordy and unclear. Her class is a waste of time. You don't learn anything worthwhile from her lectures, you sit around doing meaningless activities while she sits around for three hours picking her nose. She doesn't even walk around the room. Horrible professor, avoid if you can.

She only graded the paper on if she liked it or not. English WAS my favorite subject until I had her. She's very unfair and grading and not very interesting. The quizzes are easy though and if you go to her office hours she'll help you out.

Her grading system for papers is so messed up it makes no sense and when it comes to explaining a grade on a particular paper, shes very unhelpful. She tells you that you have terrible orginization but doesn't help you fix it. I had always loved english but I absolutely hated her class, and going to it was a waste of time and money.

She is not to bad but grades hard on the papers all the papers are worth the same amount of points and are the same length. As long as you skim over your readings the quizes are easy. She is very helpful. there are also 20 p.t. writeing assesments these are easy points overall even if you get C's on your papers you should get a B in the class.

nice, stickler on grading, make sure you do the reading assignments, lots of class participation, group discussion, weekly writing quiz about reading assignments, short oral presentation, she does use namecards to remember names, do what she asks and it is an easy A

should have been an esay A, but she grades VERY hard for an English class. I got a B, should have gotten an A. She expects everyone to know how to write a lesson plan, she barely goes over it. wants details. open book quizzes and exam. She graded pretty good on the exam. I think she didnt have time to go through them and tear everything apart.

This is a great class to take if you dont mind class interaction and wearing a name tag. I think this class seemed like a kindergarten class except I actually learned somenthing. If you have to take Eng 111 take her class she is very forgiving.
