I took this class online and her urcourses in a mess. You can scroll forever and still not find what you are looking for. Her "assignments" are ridiculously long and poorly planned out. Good luck taking this class, you'll need it!

Comment:

One of the best professors I have had so far. Her instructions are really clear and assignments are fairly easy as she makes it pretty straightforward. Always emails back to students pretty quickly and tries her absolute best to help out. Really understanding and caring prof and I would definitely take classes with her again.

Took two of her classes and her lectures are amazing! She's really thoughtful, makes sure to explain important topics well, and gives plenty of time for assignments. One of my favourite professors by far!!!

This is the worst professor I've seen in my entire life, doesn't know how to teach a class, doesn't how to take assignments or anything. If you take this course and she doesn't make you pray to rocks and fire and dance around in the cold, you're lucky. No kidding, she made us go to a stupid gathering for extra marks which doesn't even relate.

I loved taking this class. Brenda was easy to talk to, very understanding, and a fair marker. LOTS of reading. Creative take home final which was so much better than a written final. Genuinely enjoyed coming to class. She's very enthusiastic about what she teaches. I look forward to taking another class with her if possible.

I LOVE HER! She was easy to talk to after class, was really caring about what she was teaching, gave me great marks on my essays and honestly i only have amazing things to say about her. I can not wait to take a class by her again!

Comment:

Brenda is an awesome choice for WGST 100. It was super interesting and she's a great prof. Attendance is mandatory because she doesn't really used powerpoints so you have to be writing down what she says. She is very accessible and want everyone to excel, though her exams are tough, if you study well you'll get 90s. This class was my highest mark!

I really enjoyed taking this class. I didn't know much about WGST and was uneasy about taking this class but I am glad I did. Brenda wants everyone to do good and if you show up to the lectures, you will do good. Sometimes she gets off topic and can start ranting but she is very passionate about her class. I'd take another class from her.

As she says, you miss class- you miss points. Her exams all require engaging with the material from the lectures and going beyond the notes, so they're a bit challenging, so you need to study well. You can see Brenda's passion when she talks and she is a very caring lady - go to her for extra clarification! She marks fairly on essays too. Loved her

Amazing prof. everything she teaches is from the heart and you can tell she loves what she does. you are expected to also put work in, do the readings, participate in class etc. I highly recommend her!

Brenda is very knowledgable and passionate about this class. She really wants to be there for her students and cares about their success. Her lectures can be confusing and all over the place, therefore, making it difficult to know what to study for midterms. I found that she was a very easy marker though. I would recommend her.

At first I found her super nice, didn't mind her lectures or her class. Then came the first midterm and I realized her class made no sense. Here I am trying to look at my notes to study and they are all over the place just like her lectures. Nearly impossible to study for her tests because the notes make no sense at all. don't recommend her.

she laughs too much, so sometimes she mixes up her words and forget where she was. Sometime it becomes hard to understand her terms. and she wishes us to write everything in her class. I wish, she could have said staff more clearly.

Brenda is a great prof. She has a deep understanding of the material and is open to other viewpoints as well. She is able to articulate course material effectively so you learn a lot. Marking is very fair and she is more than willing to help students. She is incredibly nice. Simply the best prof I've had at Luther and probably at the university.

Brenda is one of the worst profs I have ever experienced. She talks so incredibly fast and when you put your hand up to ask her to repeat she takes an hour to get to you because she rants the entire class. She jumps all over the map and the midterm was nothing that was on the HUGE outline that was given. Hate her.

Brenda is one of my favorite profs., but even I found her 280 class to be a heavy workload. My other 300, 400 level classes were easier than this class. However, it was still an awesome class. Just be prepared to work hard to keep up
