Direct quote after getting a homework problem wrong again in class: "I'm gonna have to back door it, give me a second." Yes, we waited a good 5 minutes for him to make up some way of turning his wrong into a right. God have mercy on my soul for putting up with this for a semester. I am now confused on whether his PhD is in math or being brain dead.

Comment:

Pretty lax in class, posts all notes online which you can access for every exam. No surprises on stats exam, comes straight from the review sheet which you have weeks to complete. Never checks hw, but it helps on exams. He wasn't bad as long as you were awake more than half the class!!!

He came into my class halfway through the year. He was funny in class but not much of a teacher. I went into the final with a D in the class, went in for a TON of EI and studied hard, and got an A on the final. He still only gave me a C in the class.

Worst Math teacher I've ever had. Doesn't care about student learning...appears to be taking advantage of an easy assignment. For someone with a PhD in Math, he sure doesn't act like he knows a whole lot about Statistics... Wouldn't recommend him for ANY class...

He doesnt care much about his students succeeding in his class. He doesnt allow any hw to be turned in late for ANY reason, and since each is worth 5 percent overall, it hurts you pretty bad. He teaches little and speaks more about fantasy football than the class itself. There is a final project that does little to help culminate your learning, but rather frustrates you and makes you hate MATLAB. Once you get your first grade for homework, he doesnt change it for the rest of the semester. My advice, try hard early and you'll be set.

STAY AWAY. Has a nonchalant manner, and teaches little, and his course policy makes the class suck. Only 2 tests and each homework is 5% of your grade. The class ends with a final project that tests your ability to understand matlab help files more than probs/stats. Few opportunities to succeed and harsh hw grader. Quite frustrating in EI.

ummm yeah... for a history major who got Cs in calc I got an A in this class without ever opening a book. LCDR Caudle was clear about what was on the test, and all I needed was two hours the night before to make up a decent cheat sheet which he lets you have for every test. Didnt seem to care that I slept half the time

This guy is kind of a jerk that thinks he's cool. His voice is real nasal and he does not make the course interesting at all. He gives a gang of homework and randomly checks it. I wasn't learning much so I went to Turner for EI and ended up getting a B on the final (due to Turner).
