Dr. Hepburn was my favorite professor at the College of Charleston. He was utterly brilliant and just a lovely person to be around also. The class was so engaging that it inspired me to continue taking philosophy classes every semester, a track I had not considered before his class. I will never forget him and cant ever really thank him enough.

I think Prof. Hepburn's Class has actually helped me in other classes. He gives you a lot of "real world today" scenarios. I loved his class. I was very impressed with him becaue he is a very intelligent man. His class is a little tough I got a B in express phi 101 but worth it.

Hepburn is great...not an easy A, but well worth taking the class...His lectures aren't too exciting, but he makes you think, which makes him captivating. He's a very understanding man and is very concerned with his students' progress. I learned more from him and his class than any others so far

Do not recommend for people who do not want to think and want a really simple A.He is a pretty good teacher and wants you to think and talk about the readings. Not all that interesting during lectures, but the reading is not bad at all.I def. would take him again.Has a very dry humor, but kinda funny

LOVE Hepbern. Wouldn't recommend him to low-level thinkers, but for those who like stimulating lectures that make you THINK, take this class. He's very personable, laid back, and has a great dry sense of humor. Didn't even seem like a class, more like big group talk. 3 EASY graded tests, 1 paper.

Hepburn is like the guy in A Beautiful Mind...but so are all philosophy types. He's intimidating, but REALLY likes people who speak out in class. So talk even if you dont think you are making sense...its philosophy...does any of it really make sense?

AWFUL! He is dull and rude. Might be smart, but NOT a good professor. Just likes to hear himself talk without caring if you understand or not. Scatter brained and generally makes the class atmosphere uncomfortable.

European mannered man. interesting class but intimidating to speak out in class. test were NOT open book or notes, but as long as u studied u would do good on the essay questions. Easy essay grader but in test he also required memorizing terms and notes.

INCREDIBLY difficult and uninteresting. He would explain concepts, but without any examples, so they were hard to apply to essays (4 multiple-essay tests are your grade). Reading for every class. Skips from topic to topic without any clarity.

He was pretty easy. The most of the essays are open book. Philosophy is confusing but if you take good notes and just use the notes on your exam then it's an easy A. I got an A in the course and philosophy is over my head.
