Professor Parrish offers an older perspective to american gov. Even though his lectures are boring, they help a lot when it comes to quizzes. You have 6 "exams" and he drops the two lowest grades. One final paper that you can redo after graded. Hes a nice a guy and wants everyone to pass. Just attend the class and take notes. I didnt use the book.

First semester at wayne and he made it horrible. He doesnt respond to any emails and neither does his ta sean anderson. He is so boring. Test are hard as heck and the only grade you recieve are test and a term paper. He does curve but if you are like me youll still end up failing -_- DO NOT TAKE! DO NOT TAKE!

DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!Gave me an incomplete for this class. I attempted numerous times over the course of a YEAR to get him to tell me what to do to finish for the grade. Then, had an actual appt which he didn't even bother to show up to! NEVER answers emails-class was awful-bunch of YouTube videos which he can barely work. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

The class is mandatory so you do have to show up and stay because if he notices people leaving, he retakes attendance at the end. Mostly lecture. Nice guy. Tests are not super difficult if you read the book and look over his powerpoints. He sometimes words quetions weird and puts things on the test that were not talked about.

I thought I knew a lot about American Government until I took this class. He really is a great professor! He knows what he is talking about. I wish there were more class discussions versus lectures even I had a hard time once in awhile trying to stay awake. That being said lots of coffee and make sure to study the reviews!!!

He is a really nice guy. I hated to watch the students walk all over him but he is a bit boring. Try to pay attention and you will learn something. Visit him at office hours and check your answers on the quizzes when he posts them. Don't show up and talk while he is lecturing. I hated those people. I got an A the quizzes were tough.

This class is easy if you know something about government, he tries to make attendance mandatory but fails dramatically so show up when you want, not as clear from lectures to tests but gives you a review.. If you are a politically conservative-minded person taking this class DO NOT take him..HUGE LIBERAL, had many debates with him

I had D, failed the final and this AWESOME CURVE out of nowhere gave me an B!!! enough said!. the tests were very difficult I read the book plenty of times and went over his slides and still bombed each test! he's smart but dude lightin up on the tests

Here's all you need to know: before the curve, I had a 63%. With the curve, before the final, I had a 79%. 47% on the final, overall B in the class. Does it make sense? Not really. Complain? NO. He's a friendly person who knows what he's talking about. However, I could not stay awake no matter how hard I tried. That's my fault, though.

The class was easy if you showed up and payed attention to the lectures. He is very helpful if you go to his office hours and come students complain about the course material but hey, you are going to take classes that aren't interesting to everyone. He dropped 2 of the 6 exam scores and had a big curve as well.

Professor Parrish is a really nice guy. He knows a lot about Political Science and he knows that his lectures are boring but sticks with them. Six 30 question exams, one easy term paper, and a final that was 100 questions. Attendence is mandatory with a clicker used only sometimes. Exams were not easy. However there is no homework & he has a curve.

Poor Professor Parrish. Most of his students slept through the semester. Not the most fun but very easy. Lectures from notes on BB, practice quizzes that are the same as the tests, final is same questions as previous exams, tried to take attendance but couldn't figure out the clicker. Curved all grades majorly. Drops two lowest test scores.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRING... OMG !his lectures are long and boring but he is passionate about the class. a class of about 200 and 80% of ppl were sleeping EVERY class. But he is a nice professor. His one paper is easy!! AND HE CURVES GRADE.I had a D and ended up with a B+ in the class.. Great Curve worth the boring lectures.
