Comment:

Professor Grobe is by far one of my favorite professors at Westfield State. His lectures are easy to follow and easy to understand. A book is required but not used much. Only a few exams all on lecture material. Lab is self-paced but usually last the entire time. Very funny and down to Earth guy.

Dr. Grobe is one of my favorite professors at Westfield. He is passionate about the material he's teaching and keeps your attention with frequent corny jokes and a good lecturing personality.

Comment:

Great guy. Only 3 exams and chapter quizzes on MasteringBiology. The book is usually required for the homework, but the exams only cover the lecture notes. So you can't miss too many classes if you want to do really well on them. If you take notes, the exams are really easy, and if you don't the exams aren't weighted heavily anyway. Pretty easy A.

Super nice!! Definitely take any class possible with Dr. Grobe. Very helpful. Exams are not 'don't study for it' kind of easy but if you pay attention in class, you'll do great.

He was a great teacher and a great guy. Funny and dorky, but sweet. He writes notes out in class, so they're easy to follow. The book wasn't needed a whooole bunch, but it helps give more details to the things he talks about in class.

He is a very helpful professor. The labs are not difficult. Each class he writes on the board,while having diagrams via powerpoint. Make sure you take notes because they will help you with the exams. The activity projects will allow for extra credit to be obtained. Great class for anyone.

I hated science, and he made me change my mind! This class wasn't so bad. The labs were easy, and I got really good grades without trying too hard. Super nice guy, and he's goofy and makes dumb jokes that are exactly what the class needs. I think he genuinely wants everyone to pass.

This guy is crystal clear with his teaching. He tells you exactly what needs to be in the notes, and that is exactly what is on his tests. I never once opened my textbook and I got an A. He really likes what he teaches and it shows. I'm definately going to take more of his classes! Highly recomended!

Grobe is amazing, best notes I have ever been given. He really works hard to help you understand the topics at hand, and his tests are mainly baised on the notes he gives in class. As long as you put in the work, you can do very well in his class.

I recommend Dr. Grobe to any and everyone. His lectures are very clear. If you take notes during his lecture, chances are you will not need to purchase a book. He makes himself readily available to all of his students, is very interesting, and has a wonderful sense of humor.

Took Enivironmental Bio. Easy A. The labs were fun and interesting and homework was easy. We ended up going to Stanley Park most of the time. One presentation on endangered species, easy labs, and two tests. I ended up not buying the book and ended up with an A. Great notes - relies on notes only for tests, not the book.

NEVER TAKE ONE OF HIS CLASSES WITH SOMEONE YOU KNOW. he will accuse u of cheating b/c you are in the same group (obv. the people in the same group are going to have the same data in a table and a graph..) I got 100's on every single thing except for one lab and ended up with a C???? Doesn't care. if he doesn't like u then he's out to screw you over
