Comment:

A smiley face does not mean that I enjoyed taking her class. She offered very little, if any, constructive feedback on any of my writing. I feel like all I wrote were B-quality papers, but I received an A- or an A on each one. Getting an inflated grade does not help someone improve their writing skills. The textbooks were a waste of money.

continued from below... assignmnts usually due by sunday night/monday morning at 12 am. don't really need to view all the power points, should take note of the format of essays & MLA in text citations. as long as essays have good thesis&support & are clear to the point, u should be fine. writing center assignments = busy work.

ONLINE. grade based on 10 sets of grammer quizzes (u can retake over&over until u get full pts), 10 writing center assgnmnts, 4 essays, 1 research paper, and 6 discussion postings (u can only miss one posting without affecting ur grade). straight forward, lot of WRITING, hate writing but got an A. nice teacher-very helpful.

I took english 170 online from her -- she is absolutely insane. I've found myself working harder in her class than in a full year of Organic Chemistry. Additionally, in order to get an A in her class one requires a 95% or higher rather than the normal 94%. This wouldn't be a problem if she didn't frequently mark test answers wrong arbitrarily. BAD

Carrie is VERY fair, friendly, and willing to help in any way possible. If you TRY, you will succeed in her class. This was a wonderful first experience with online classes. She really made it very interactive and there was a lot of work but it was definitely not overwhelming or anything like that. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

Carrie is the best prof I have ever had. She is a wonderful teacher, she really cares about teaching and about her students. The books she teaches are great books, stuff I would read on my own. I would recommend her to anyone and would take her again.
