Comment:

Easy class. I do feel like the amount of work she gave was a bit excessive for an intro class. Shes really nice and is interesting. She made us a test review after we asked her for one. Tests and bb quizzes are a bit specific but if you do all the readings, youll be fine. Revel quizzes are easy as well. Lots of extra credit. 2 exams.

Comment:

This is the most cupcake class I have ever taken. We had a take home mid-term. Yeah you heard me right. A TAKE HOME mid term. Easy A. Good for the student who is focusing on other things throughout the semester. If you don't get at least a B it's because you didn't try at all.

Comment:

Mr. Dorsey epitomizes the mediocrity of San Jacinto Junior College. Students should be prepared to silently sit in class as he recounts his childhood adventures in a small Texas town. Dorsey is an old school republican teacher. If you are one of the few to be spoken to, so long as you agree (or pretend to agree) with his politics you'll be fine.

He is a very easy and funny teacher but this class is a blow off class. He also lets us out of the class really early. There are 3 test and an opinion based paper so its fairly easy. The only bad thing is that you have to read the book and teach yourself, all he uses are main points on a powerpoint. Great teacher but learning wise, not so much.

gave us powerpoints, sometimes reviews, he is super easy, gives an essay assignment that is graded on formatting, basically everyone makes a 100 on this essay unless you are really dumb, I seriously missed like 6 days of class and I passed with a B+ he is super funny and the true definition of a southern gentleman

I just took this class and got an A. The teacher knows the material and he is quick to try and get the class involved in discussion. He doesn't make you stay in class very long the vast majority of the time, which gives you time to read the chapters. I doesn't give reviews, except the final, but his power points and the book work. Paper was easy.

EXTREMELY EASY. Dont even have to show up for class often (he rarely takes attendance)and can make an easy A on the tests. If you just do the review you are set. All of his reviews are spitting images as his tests. He is funny and sometimes makes innapropriate jokes to keep us interested. I would recommend him.

loved this teacher!!For the spring mini semester he would only keep us for half of the time or less. However you do need to read the chapters or, skim thru them.The review was some help not much we had one test, the final and a paper due. I recommend him for a mini if you dont want to stress and enjoy your weeks off and if your not good in Gov.

LOVED HIM! very funny man. gave reviews that were almost exactly like the test! never made us stay for the whole class. dont need the textbook, and the powerpoits are useless too! just do the reviews and you'll be fine!!

A often offensive older teacher but he is harmless in his remarks. He is not the best at planning ahead but you sure do learn about the important and often ignored sides of government. He knows his stuff, and hopefully he will be teaching for another year. Don't buy the book, read it at the library. And do the study guides days prior to the test.

FUN CLASS.... he picks on people in a funny way; he picked on me because I'm always one or two minutes late and I'm lebanese haha; he's an awesome teacher and gives 10 points extra credit and sometimes 5 point bonus.

He's a very sweet old man & loves what he's teaching.He picks on you in a friendly way, just to give examples for the lecture. 1 opinion paper graded based on the guideline provided & 3 tests with reviews for all of them. Just study the reviews & you will be fine. Studying the powerpoint won't help at all. I made an A+ by ONLY studying the reviews.

Comment:

This is one of the best government professors I have ever taken. His lectures are interesting and cracks lots of jokes on people. His tests are not hard, all you do is skim the book and look over the power points. I enjoyed coming to class every other day. It was the highlight of my day.

Took his class during the summer. Speaks what's on his mind, good or bad. I did not read the book and got a 92 in the class. Go to class! Even though attendance is not necessarily mandatory he adds to the powerpoints he lectures on. I would recomend him for an easy A or B.

Great professor! I didn't want to take Govt, but I have to because of my degree plan. He made the subject really interesting, and it was really easy to get through. He gave us exam reviews, and as long as you do them you will do well on exams.
