lectures pre recorded, asynchronous class. he is a very sarcastic prof, some find him funny but he has a unique sense of humor--it's easy to get offended. provides weekly updates & gives u a grade calc. he gives out a sheet of almost 200 questions to prepare for the midterm. as long as u do all ur assignments and reach out for help, you're good.

Comment:

He's a great professor! During COVID he was very flexible and helped students a lot. ACC2101 is generally a hard course but he manages to explain the material very well. Highly recommend!

If you just watch the lectures (also super boring) and read the textbook religiously, you're going to get a B max. Small percentage of the exam is based off lectures and textbook. Incredibly ridiculous amount of questions on exams too. Find some way to practice problems

fully online course and my best experience with online Flexible learning. lectures were uploaded each week and available for students to watch on their own time. homework assignments and quizzes on Connect due every week but multiple opportunities to redo our quizzes and assignments until you get 100%. 3 x Long tests (100-200q). Work hard!

Comment:

Mr. Davis is perhaps the best professor I met during my academics in Baruch. His lectures are beyond informative and enlightening. He makes complex concepts very easy to grasp. Accounting basics is one of the most important tools you will acquire in school, couldn't take it with anyone better than Davis.

great teacher! had a blast with him during acc 2101. i thought this would be dreadful when I got in but it was pleasant! i'd love to have him again! also responds to all my emails!!! i thought that was really neat. take him, you won't regret it! tests r exactly like quizzes, just watch the lectures.

Amazing Professor. Probably one of the nicest professors I had in Baruch so far. Really cared about his students and wanted us to succeed. Exams were all from previous practice questions. As long as you do your HW and quizzes you will succeed.

I know a lot of people say he is amazing but nor me, unfortunately. Its a lot of memorizations. The test was 180 questions. Although the practice questions are the same as the exam questions, it is still a lot to memorize. His lectures are also very boring. If accounting is your thing you'll probably like him. Also does not reply to emails at all.

Professor Davis creates lecture videos that are extremely detailed and entertaining to watch. For exams, you'll have to focus on the video lectures and use the textbook to better understand any topics discussed. Professor Davis gives quizzes to be done every week that are based on lectures and HW every other week based on the book. All online.

Comment:

Prof. Harry Davis gives amazing lectures and really tries his best to give everyone an A. However, you have to show that you worked hard for it (doing all the hw and quizzes on time, watching all his lectures, etc). He sneaks little corny jokes in his lectures, so if you pay attention to the lectures, you will have a fun time.

I don't know why people say that he is a bad professor. He is a really caring and a gem of a professor. You will have to watch one video per week followed by one HW and one quiz which are super easy and you get multiple attempts to get a perfect score. Yes you have to watch videos and teach yourself, what else do you expect taking an online class?

This man is literally everything. I never thought I'd be getting an A in Accounting, but Prof Davis is so lenient and caring for his students. I wish this class wasn't online because I would love to meet him. He's so corny and I actually laughed through the video lectures. Very motivational too! Just do the work and I promise you, you'll get an A.

Professor Davis is a no nonsense and straight forward professor. Watch his lectures, ask questions on discussion board, do the homework, do the quizzes (1 Midterm and 1 Final are drawn from them) and try to grasp the Accounting concepts early on b/c there is a lot of material covered. He is a fair grader and will give you the grade you deserve.

Prof. Davis was a good professor when it comes to teaching. He is quite petty at certain times. You do get ALOT of homework and quizzes on Connect. If you use chegg and quizlet, you should be able to survive the class. He gave out a study guide for the midterm which is VERY USEFUL! His final is bit screwed up. He curves his exams!

Take this prof. He really cares about students and tries his hardest to give everybody an A. He gives really useful practice tests before actual exams and goes out of his way to help even though the class is fully online. Very easy to get an A and not too much work.

He was really great during the spring semester. He sets up lectures on bb and gives quizzes based on it which you can retry until you get 100. He also lets you reattempt homeworks which is a good grade booster. He is attentive and makes sure you know where you stand and what your grade as well as a lot of extra credit.
