Comment:
Prof. Krohn has a special way he wants students to write their essays. The first essay will most likely give you a grade you weren't expecting, C- for me, but he gives you feedback. By the end of the semester, he grades by how much effort you put into the essays, for example, my average over 6 essays was a C+ but I ended up with an A in the class.

You get a quiz every class over the readings (spark-notes will suffice if you don't have time to read). He's vague about essay requirements. Just make sure to take notes in-class and incorporate the analyses into your papers. The final exam requires you to match quotes to characters (spark notes will NOT suffice).

He's a pretty simple professor, shows how dedicated he is. He is always available and super kind. This is an easy A as long as you do your essays and know the short answer quizzes. He takes essays after due date.

Professor Krohn's is a character of his own. He seems like a character from a novel himself. Despite his grading style being kind of complicated and hard to understand, just make sure you answer - or try your best to - what he's asking! Most importantly, if you don't get the grade you want GO TALK TO HIM, YOU WILL THANK ME LATER.

Overall,a very easy class. Classes are disorganized and he is prone to rambling, but he knows the material and the class is not stressful. It could be hard to stay awake, though. Read and you'll ace the quizzes. He is not consistent in his grading of the essays, but pay attention to what he says in class and incorporate that into your work.

He's not bad, quizzes every class but they are easy if you use spark notes. The essays are the hardest because he is never clear on what he wants or what he takes points off for. The final is worth 40 percent of your grade which is ridiculous.

SO CONFUSING! I have no idea what is going on in that class. He only offers early classes and he is impossible to follow. It is a month away from finals and I am only now starting to find a way to follow his lectures. Take someone else if you can, but he isn't terrible.

ENGL 3314: Development of the Novel is required for English Lit majors. It covers the rise of the novel in popularity between the 17th and 19th centuries. Prof. Krohn demonstrates familiarity with the course material, however he's very disorganized. Expect extensions on due dates when he forgets to hand out assignments. Reading quizzes given daily.

Dr. Krone is a decent Proffesor. He is an actor at the alley theatre in his spare time so he will often do voice impressions. He is available for paper advice if you finish early. Final Exam is all essay. Had an A going into the final still waiting on that grade. Just know that the final is worth 40% of your grade and he gives no tests whatsoever.

Essay for every book read which is 4. Research paper of 6 pages and a final which is pretty extensive. He tends to go over all the books very extensively but he also likes to go on random tangents. Not a bad class but not interesting either. Usually class is at 8am which makes it difficult to always pay attention. Quizzes almost every class.

His quizzes are extremely easy. His class is boring but he can be entertaining at times. The essays ARE NOT THAT EASY. You can write the perfect paper but he will still give you a C if you don't write about what he wants you to. However, he never specifically or hints you what to write. Made an A- class.

Very nice guy. He teaches very early in the morning. Gives a lot of quizzes but they are easy if you know the book. The entire class is him talking about the book. Gives a few short papers but they are easy. Every time someone says something in class he always says its good and never says anyone has a bad idea.

Easiest class ever. Never read any of the books, bs'd all the essays and still pulled an A. He doesn't really require class participation, most just studied or worked on other things during class. Quizzes are sparknote-able so no need to really read. Easy A.

Overall, a very easy class. He sometimes gets frustrated when nobody answers his questions or when people walk in late. Sparknotes will help you pass the quizzes however if your looking for a perfect score just stick with reading the book. Can be very boring especially so early in the morning, however can be really entertaining.

he is a good teacher, lectures are very boring and he only teaches in the morning so most of the class is falling a sleep, quizzes are pointless but he only gives you about 5 minutes to do it. 5 essays that are very specific, there is always something wrong with each essay, even if you think you fixed it. read sparknotes and you should be fine

Decent prof. Many times his lectures became dull and lifeless and he seemed to be saddened that we were not willing to answer his questions without being called on directly. However, he refused to actually call on us and sort of just stod there a la "Ferris Buller's Day Off" saying "Anyone? ... Anyone?" Painful for both us and him.

I enjoyed Prof. Krohn's class a great deal. I had it early morning and the laughter woke me up and got me ready for the day. This man is hilarious and he lets you know exactly how things are going to go down. Go to class and do the reading... and you'll do fine.
