I took phil 2100 with him over the summer of 2020 and he was very helpful for assignment outlines, we had weekly discussion posts that you got full marks for if you did it, weekly quiz and 2 papers. i have recommended him to my friends.

Craig was great with Phil 2100 online. Every Wednesday we had a discussion and chapter quiz due. The discussion was graded on participation and the quizzes were only 3-4 mc questions long. 1 case study and final take-home exam paper. Very easy course, all reading materials and links are included in the course content.

Comment:
I took Health Ethics online with Dr. Cramm and not only was I disappointed and concerned by the way that the material was presented, but his deadlines and assignments (incl. rubrics) were unclear and there were far too many readings at far too high a level for a 2000-level course. Definitely do not recommend this course with him.

Craig is a good prof. He grades fairly and gives good feedback. His lectures can be a little unfocused and repetitive at times but are generally quite informative. Though he seems hesitant to give high A's in his course.

Dr Cramm was a pretty good prof for an online course. He answered students emails fast and if you submit the case study early he will give you a clear outline to follow for your final essay!

Comment:
Craig goes off on tangents and does not make much sense. Every single person I talked to in my class said they had no idea what he was talking about. His explanations and lectures are god awful. This was a 2 and not a 1 because of how easy it was to do well in his course. Write your essays, dont show up to class and your golden.

Cramm is a legend, he trails off sometimes and goes on tangents, but if you participate and ask questions you will get a lot out of the course. He has an incredible understanding of the material and is very receptive to questions. He grades papers very fairly. would take again

He does not explain philosophical concepts well. I was looking to take a philosophy course that focused on current issues but it was mostly a history class until the very last week where we studied philosophical implications of AI. Not the best prof. Dissapointed for my first philosophy class.

I am taking his course online and it is horrible. He expects us to do 100+ pages of reading per week on articles that are so complex they make my head hurt. These readings are then quizzed weekly and the questions he asks are so convoluted I struggle to get 50%. 100+ pages of reaching for a 2 mark quiz, that doesn't make much sense to me.

Comment:
Although Cramm wasn't a terrible prof, he did tend to go on tangents during his lectures that didn't correlate with his topics. Attendance is definitely not mandatory and the class was extremely easy. Although I found his lectures boring and quite honestly, irrelevant, he was accommodating and will let you redo things you aren't content with.

Would recommend his classes to anyone who even thinks about philosophy. His lectures can be a little convoluted, but his ideas are wild and he's a fair grader, so pay attention and take lots of notes, and you'll be good as gold.

His lectures weren't anything special, often a little too dense personally for a first year Philosophy course but he is an easy grader and as long as you show up/put in some decent effort into your papers you can get an easy A.

Didn't have much interaction with the professor. We only heard from him when something wasn't working right. He was a tougher grader than I was expecting. Quizzes were tricky, paper was graded a bit tough and he was tough on the quality grade for discussion posts. Not a bad professor or course, just a lot of reading and formulating opinions.

Craig was not very communicative during the course, but all the information was there so there was hardly any need to send him an email. Discussions and assignments were fair and it was a take-home style final. The material was very interesting. I would recommend this course with this prof.

There is a LOT of reading, a good 2-4 hours worth per unit. He was pretty slack with timelines though - allowed to pass in midterm paper late with no penalty, just the stipulation he'd grade as time allowed and we'd get no feedback, just a grade. Fairly easy course, but a bit time consuming.

Dr. Cramm is amazing. Gives you a copy of grading sheet for papers; 3 papers and essay final that you know what the questions are; Go to class and answer what the paper questions are asking and you'll get an A. Take advantage of the writing centre, he'll only write it on your paper. He can be SUPER funny.

Comment:
Lectures are extremely boring. Three papers and a final exam, final paper worth 30%. Often rambles about non-sense. Book was mandatory for papers. Attendance not really necessary. Posts notes online but they can be a bit confusing. Recommends visiting the writing centre even if you achieve an A on a paper.

Comment:
Craig Cramm is highly invested in his field, which causes lectures to be a far-too-long instance of philosophical rambling. Classes are skippable, HOWEVER, Cramm will take notice, and this will affect your final grade, regardless of your mastery of the subject. It is for this reason that I do not recommend.
