Frau Lake is a wonderfully pleasant person. She makes sure you understand the material and is available for help if you need it. If you need a language consider taking her classes. Do the exercises and participate in class and you'll do well.

You eventually have to know the material, but she covers it very thoroughly and helps you with it as much as she can. Also, she is very pleasant and friendly. This is an excellent class with an excellent professor.

her pace was kind of slow, but she explained really well. her knowledge about japan in general is good, i enjoyed the random stories she told. overall good teacher, friendly, just doesn't cover much material during a class period.

Overall good instructor. Very knowledgable and VERY fluent in her languages, but tends to repeat stories. Requires study, but she goes over it repeatedly and is always willing to help.

Has a tendency to babble on with boring stories and waste valuable class time. However, she is very helpful and courteous. Gives out homework a lot, but don't worry! She'll often go over homework as a class and then have students turn it in. That is the easiest part of the class. Recommended.

Not easy, lemme tell ya. But it shouldn't be. She makes sure you know Japanese, and the pace is quite fast (but it could be worse). Take if highly interested in Japanese, and make sure you have the time to study.

Very nice and helpful. She will challenge you but in a good and helpful way. Keep up and study about 15 or 30 minutes a day (especially vocab) and you'll do fine. Gambatte!
