Damon is probably one of the coolest professors at LMU. Very interesting lectures and interesting material, but the subject of art history is tough in general unless you're really in to it. Definitely not my thing which made it a lot harder to study for and understand. We had 4 quizzes (drops 2 lowest), 2 papers 4 pages each, a midterm and final

Modernism is one of my favorite classes I have taken at LMU. I am a business major and had no interest in the subject, but after taking this class I really like art history. 4 short quizzes, two papers, one midterm, one final not cumulative. He is a great professor and keeps lectures entertaining. Take him if you can while at LMU, its worth it.

Prof Willick is the greatest! Super engaging in a subject matter that, unless you were already interested in, is rather thick and dense. He understands that there is a lot of material but is really helpful - all you have to do is ask! Definitely not an easy class - tests are long and hard, few short quizzes, 2 easy papers - but he's worth it! Take!

Willick is awesome! One of my fav professors here! Readings are doable, papers and tests are fair and you feel well-prepared for them, quizzes are easy if you listen and take notes. Tips: You do not need to buy/read the "recommended" textbooks. Write notes even on the unstarred images. Highlight specific quotes he mentions from the readings.

awesome guy. totally down to earth but still commands the subject matter. I took him for Modernism, LA Now, and Contemporary this summer. Good sense of humor and former punk rocker. Really sweet and understanding but will call out BS if he sees

Professor Willick is such a great professor. He's young and funny and makes art history interesting. You definitely can't just slide through this class but the work he assigns is fair and easy to deal with if you keep organized. He's very clear about his expectations so really it's your own fault if you fall behind. Highly recommend his class!

He is an amazing teacher. I enjoyed learning about modernism with him. The class isn't easy but if you enjoy it the work won't overwhelm you. His lectures are great but tons of note taking. Don't fall behind. His tests are hard but fair. I recommend him!

The class is challenging and you need to stay on top of the work in order to do well. I waited until the last minute to memorize and ended up with a B+. I wish I had worked harder because he is a wonderful professor, really intelligent and funny.

the perfect example of how EVERY professor SHOULD be. this guy knows his stuff, has passion, is brilliant and just an outright amazing teacher who will inspire all his students in some way or form. TAKE HIM ... doesn't matter for which class ... just do it! you'll walk out a better person learning to think outside the norms of everyday life.
