The class can be tough if you don't know much about economics. Graded on 3 tests, 2 papers, and 1 lesson plan. The papers and lesson plan are pretty easy. Class rarely ever goes longer than an hour most of the time. Allows up to 3 points extra credit after each test and you just have to write an article summary and how it related to class.

Dave is a good guy, but his class can be kinda tough. Nothing is online and he has no powerpoints, all notes are written on the board. Homework is optional but if you want to pass you should do it! Grade is based only on a few things: 3 tests, 2 papers, and 1 lesson plan, so don't screw up or it will effect your grade. Go to class & you'll be fine!

Great teacher for a dry subject, he understands that no one will enjoy this class. Show up, do the work, he gives you everything you need to pass, but he's not going to hold your hand through this. Totally approachable if you have questions, he really tries to help you understand. A lot of ungraded homework, but it FULLY prepares you for exams.

I was dreading taking a statistics class, but Dr Bashaw made it simple and easy to learn. The material is tough, but he was very to the point and clear. It is best to print out the powerpoint slides to write additional notes, he will sometimes go fast but always willing to go over something again. Highly recommend, he made stats so much easier.

David is a very tough grader. You'll find that out after the first exam. His exams get progressively harder as the semester goes on and his curve does very little to help the class (coming from a guy who's test scores were always above the class average). I ended up getting my first C of college with him and I heard 5+ people in my section failed.

Dave doesn't put anything online, so you'll do best if you go to class. The tests are short and to the point and gives E.C for each of them. He tells you everything you need to know in the lectures and writes it all on the board. He understands we are very busy and goes light on homework and material at times. He wants his students to succeed.

Microeconomics is not an easy class by any means, but he does all that he can to help you to understand it. He gives very interesting lectures and is one of the most genuinely nice and down to earth guys I have ever met. I would for sure recommend taking his class if you're worried about the difficulty of the class.

Professor Bashaw was a pretty straight forward teacher. Read the book, show up to class and pay attention. He doesn't appreciate people not participating because what he lectures about, WILL be on the test. He notices if you're trying and will work with you to gain understanding. There are very little points in the class, so no room for error

He's honestly a really nice guy. However, you are only graded on 2 exams that are each 25%, homework worth 20%, final is worth 30% of your grade. He does offer extra credit to earn a couple points back on tests, and does assign homework nearly every class. He doesn't take attendance but if you miss class you will be very behind.

Mr. Bashaw has been my favorite professor at whitewater. Econ is a tough subject to master but he does a great job of laying out what you need to know in each chapter and preparing you for what will be on the exams He is very funny and makes his lectures as interesting as you can make Econ. He also offers extra credit to help test grades.

Professor Bashaw is a very straight forward Professor. He accepted me into his online class after it had already reached capacity. You get a quiz on a chapter a week, 2 written assign. spaced about a month and a half apart and participation with other students on each weeks material. Quick to respond and offers extra credit at the end of term.

Show up to class, do the homework, and participate. It is a statistics class so you are going to have to put in some work. Gives you note card for Exam 1 and the textbook for Exam 2.

i really like bashaw's personality, he's a great guy. i don't like the fact that all we do in class is go through the slides, basically like a vocab and concept based class. since stats is in fact a math class, i think that it'd be more beneficial if we did more practice problems in class.

ECON 201 is a tough class and most of my learning came from reading the textbook since the summer course is an accelerated online version of the class. However, Bashaw is a great professor and does his best to make sure the material is easy to understand. He gives good feedback on papers and is happy to answer any questions.

Guy is a grade A tool. Took him for Micro-Econ online, and his syllabus was all lies. Said he would work hard to respond within 24-48 hours but never responded to my time sensitive inquiry I sent twice. Graded a report worth 5 quizzes (100pts) with no feedback, with no examples or objective grading criteria. Comes across as tough but isn't.

Good professor and is good at explaining. Good guidelines as to what is needed and what will be on the exams. Lots of ungraded homework There are only three exams and nothing else really for grade. The first 2 exams are 20 questions so it is hard to get an A. Very hard grader. I did above average on everything and still got a B. Not the easiest

Do not take this class online. You have to be in lock down browser, be video recorded with audio, show id and his quizzes are hard even after studying and doing all the readings. Doesn't explain well.

You have to pay attention in class and ask questions. He isn't afraid to go over things you didn't understand the first time. He likes to make jokes and have during class but he also gets the material by. We rarely stayed the whole class period either.

Comment:
This class is difficult to take online with no prior knowledge to economics. You are supposed to read a chapter per week along with a short quiz. The quizzes are confusing and don't seem to strongly correlate with the main idea of the chapter. The quizzes and final exams are all taken on lockdown browser.
