Comment:

Dr. Jones' class was fairly interesting, lectures are very long and she goes off on many tangents. She is quite funny though. If you are really interested in theater you will probably get more out of it than if you are not.

Comment:

This class as a whole decreased my interest in theater. She was consistently late to class, didn't teach the material because she was more interested in talking about her own life, and doesn't write test questions well. Her TAs don't give feedback well on papers and criteria aren't communicated well, if at all. I would never recommend this class

Comment:

Took this class for a GPA boost. Professor Jones is hilarious and really opened my eyes to how interesting theatre is. Attending productions is required, but that was one of my favorite parts and I'm not even a theatre major. Random participation points but also lots of extra credit opportunities. Barely went to class and got an 87.

She's very funny, I laughed pretty hard in her class. She acts for us and tells interesting stories. She's very clear and easy to understand.

She is very unorganized and confusing in lecture. She talks about her life more then the class topic. The test are harder then the class discussions. And the class is not very interesting.

Comment:

She is spacey but full of interesting info about her own acting perspectives. This class is really easy. Just go to class and listen to her so you can do the in class participation and read the text. Fortunately the text is pretty interesting. The only thing I was irritated with was her lack of technology skills. Took a long time to receive grades.

If you're not super into theater I would not recommend this class. It's super boring and pretty much didn't learn anything. Pretty self explanatory information, I got an A on the midterm without even studying.

Dr. Jones is very enthusiastic about theatre so she often will carry on and go on bunny trails. I feel the lectures could be much more concise. The tests are easy but the TAs (or mine at least) graded the papers very harshly, to the point of marking off a letter grade for contractions (won't, can't, etc).

Dr. Jones is very unorganized in her thoughts, and consistently came to class late. On top of that, her TAs for this semester (Spring 2012) assigned grades with little to no explanation, regardless of the amount of effort put into the assignment. This class has been an enormous disappointment and has decreased my interest in theater.

Really easy class (not sure if I have the number correct, but it was intro to theater). You take a field trip. I never studied for the tests or read the book and I got an A. Its an easy A for an AUCC credit. I think she is really nice and funny. I enjoyed her classes.

I liked this class. I got in A and I hardly went. She didn't return e-mails though. I admit she was a little scattered with her thoughts but overall I did enjoy the productions she has us go to. I would recommend it for an easy class. The exams were easy, and so were the papers.

Laura is THE worst teacher I've ever had. She is spacey, unorganized, and cannot get herself together. Her lectures make no sense, and she is always late. She always has something more important to do than help her students. Never returns calls/emails
