The other students who have rated Proffesor David Chiabi must be freshmans or are used to doing nothing because this class was very easy and I learned alot. There is a test about one a week and gives you 5 papers which are all due at the end of the semsester. What more can you complain about? He was great and I will be taking him again.

Comment:

This man has to be one of the rudest men I have come across. Had him for two online classes and it wasnt bad. However, this man is incredibly rude. I called the criminal justice department twice and ended up on the phone with him. Even asking nicely he was not helpful, sarcastic and talks down upon you. Unless its online dont take him.

Dr. Chiabi a great educator when you very the syllabus you may want to drop but it REALLY isn't that bad. It's college so expect to work hard if you want a good grade. Summer course online was easier for me.

I know a lot of people believe he is hard, or DO NOT TAKE HIM. But, he was actually one of my favorite teachers. He made you work, you had to purchase the book, and read the chapters. Granted he is a bit sarcastic, but no one is perfect. I look forward to taking him this Spring 2016.

Chiabi's class seems tough will your taking it but you'll get a good grade at the end. The entire semester i worried about failing but i ended up with a good grade. He only gives a midterm, final, a short paper, and a research paper.

Been going to his classes since 1997. As an 18yo, he was hard and would not take his class. As a 34yo P.O., I love his classes the challenge of his work. If you actively participate and care about the work, he is not that bad or hard. I think he gets a bad rep because he demands a lot. I am not full-time so maybe that makes it easier.

Horrible professor, does not respond to students and his tests are outdated. I had to contact the Dean's Office for him to give me help on a test because he failed almost everyone in the class. Does not care about students. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

if you read the chapters, you would be able to follow. He gave awesome summaries of the chapters and expect everyone to pay attention and sort of participate as well. Not an approachable person at first, but if he sees your effort, then he could be. Not so scary like ppl said. He has High Expectations.

I am a "A" student and got the same grade in his class. However, he is hard to understand and very rude. I am glad I only took one class in this field and now I am a National Security major (yes in NJCU, check it out). If I had to keep taking this guy I may have not enjoyed my time at this university.

Dr. Chiabi is one of the best CJ professors NJCU has. He able to assist you and has a great sense of humor. His tests are fair and not surprising. If Crim Just is really your choice of career he is def an some1 to experience.

Dr. Chiabi is my favorite professor at NJCU. You just need to do the readings and study for the exams. He is very helpful and will always help if you ask him for it. The lowest grade I have ever received from him was an A-. I would recommend him to anyone, as long as they are willing to do the readings!

i took Chiabi for intro, victims of crime, and research. he's a good professor, a tad rude, and a bit rough but overall hes a good guy, and he'll do what he can to help you pass his class. i highly recommend Chiabi!

He is funny to me, and when you ask him a question he makes you look like a fool or answer your question with a question, and ask you did you read the book. The worst thing anyone can do to him is, if he ask the class a question and no one answers him he looks at everyone and ask did you guys read the chapter, still no one answers.
