I am a feminist and so going into the class i was excited. Sieger even seemed interesting the first class. WRONG! This woman is so hung up on bashing men and repeating the same things every class. I haven't learned a thing past the first day. Beware if you have a different opinion than her, she will make you pay for it.

Yes she is challenging, Yes, she tends to ramble on, usually about politics. But sometimes starts good discussions and debates. She is head of the department for a reason! Her door is always open, and if she's not there, willing to make an appt. That just makes her a great Social Worker!

pros: the depth of her knowledge is incredible. if you're interested in social work, do not miss an opportunity to learn from an expert. cons: if you don't read the assigned chapters, you won't know what the hell she's talking about in the lectures. in other words, you have to work.

Her tests and quizzes ARE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE but it's hard not to get an "A" in this class. . Even if you are absolutely horrible at multiple choice she gives you plenty of opportunities for extra credit that greatly help ur grade.

DON'T TAKE HER, she has such hard tests and quizes each week and they are so tough. Bad prof. for Intro to SWK, more of an advanced class then an intro class, try to find another teacher for Intro.to SWK. Tries to change your views on different issues.
