I loved Dion! You can tell how passionate she is about the works we talked about, and that made me more excited to read. Make sure to participate for a good grade. She talks a lot, and is left leaning politically and makes that known. Dion always gave me great feedback, but there are some people in my class that did not get the same treatment.

Dion is super nice and she truly makes you enjoy books. The class is pretty easy, read and do your papers on time and you'll be fine. She's understanding of situations so she did extended due dates at times.

Farquhar was a good lecturer and she always tried to keep us engaged with the material but it became repetitive and draining to go to class. She was often unorganized and had several versions of the syllabus so it was hard to keep track of which one she was using.

Amazing lecturer, as you sit in her class you can really tell that she cares about the information she is having you read. Yes, it may be a lot of reading but it is well worth it. As a professor, she makes herself and her office hours available for any type of help you may need or just for you to come chat. 100% one of my favorite professors.

You really have to ask her to clarify things over and over again. She seems very overwhelmed, and often told students different times and due dates and then would get frustrated when not everyone knew the same date and time. Other than her organizational skills, very passionate and intellectual teacher!

She's a great professor brings great insight to the class topic, but she does expect a lot of time being dedicated to the class for readings.

You can't get an A if you don't participate regularly, especially in a seminar setting. If you listen & participate in discussions & do the readings, your essays will be much stronger & your overall experience will be more pleasant. She also gives really good essay feedback; she is clear with providing your strengths & what you need to work on.

Dion is a wonderfully inspiring professor with a wealth of knowledge in a wide array of topics! The class I took was about poetry and capitalism and it was truly an eye-opening course. Participation is absolutely essential but she grades based off of effort, which is amazing. All in all, a brilliant instructor, take her class!

Dion is a cool teacher! She's very intelligent, well spoken, and offers great feedback on papers. I took Cowell Core and she was fair and very caring. PARTICIPATE IN CLASS! She loves students who speak but don't get cocky. She had some rad stories up her sleeve. It's honestly the students that make or break the experience, but Dion is AWESOME.

She wasn't the best. She wasn't the worst. The class was easy but never really engaging. Just participate during class and make sure you work on the group project throughout the quarter. On the other hand, she didn't give me any helpful feedback whatsoever and my writing became worse. We wrote two essays in this class MAX.

Of all the Writing 2 teachers, Farquhar is definitely among one of the easiest. She mostly cares about improvement in your writing as a whole. Her grades are based on your improvement as a writer and your participation in class discussions. Had 4 essays & 1 research paper. The essays were technically rough drafts, she made re-writes extra credit.

Dion is an amazing person, very interesting to get to know. She has a lot of big ideas that will get you thinking. I'm pretty sure she is queer, which is awesome; she will make you feel welcome no matter your background or identity. She likes elaboration in essays, which can be difficult to do without writing too much or getting off topic.

Took her for crown 79 and she was one of the nicest profs. The lectures were alright if you're into philosophy and Frankenstein, and the writing assignments were short. But she doesn't gives you any feedback on the writing and makes you peer grade. Luckily she didn't assign much reading. Just show up to class and raise your hand!

Oh Dion. I'm not sure if it was you or the course criteria, but assigning 1 page maximum essays with no feedback whatsoever actually made my writing worse than it was before I took the class. I was actually marked down for writing over a page, and everyone had to use the god awful peerceptiv system to upload assignments.

Probably the easiest of the Crown 80A teachers. She's pretty nice and lenient with due dates. She relates almost every reading to gender/gender inequality. Some students don't respect her, but they are the ones who don't pay attention during discussion and don't read assigned readings. Do all the work and you'll have a guaranteed B or higher.

She was a great professor. Engaging but can go on tangents often. Overall, the class was pretty easy (probably one of the easiest Writing 2 classes). As long as you participated and improved then you did well. She was EXTREMELY nice and truly cared about progress. I highly recommend her class.
