Dr. Marshall is an awesome professor, he keeps class entertaining. The only thing about his is his exams are difficult, but you're able to use all resources so utilize that. GET THE BOOKS.

This was an online course, I did majority of my quizzes at once because I read the book before. The exam questions come STRAIGHT from the book. So read it to succeed.

His CRJS210 class online isnt bad at all. You have 4 Discussions, 5 quizzes on a book you have to read throughout the semester, and 4 exams based on the textbook. I recommend you get the ebook for the exams. It makes it much easier.

Dr. Marshall is one of the best professors around. He is very laid back and is an excellent professor. In his Law enforcement class you will have two group projects (easy), five quizzes on D2L on a short book you have to read throughout the semester. And 4 exams on the lectures and textbook. Beware is tests can be tough. I highly recommend th Ebook

His criminal investigation class isn't bad at all. The class is fun and lectures are interesting. In this class you are in a group and you investigate mock crime scenes. A lot of hands on learning. The tests were online, but beware they are very challenging. Make sure you take good notes. Questions will be scenarios and on what he says.

I LOVE Dr. Marshall! He is so kind and will help you in any way that he can. This class was very hard so you need good study habits. Would recommend him to anybody.

Very Very hard class, the most I ever worked for an A-. You MUST take A LOT of notes. his tests are extremely hard and they are online. Even if you have friends take them with you. And if you aren't careful he can catch you taking them together!!! He is really funny and fun to have. But this class IS NOT an easy A. He cancels a lot and is late alot

I took this class during the summer,I LOVED his teaching and his class.At first I was very confused,but after I got the hang of his teaching style and how to take notes for his class.I passed every test and quiz.Pay attention to when he says"HINT" highlight that because that WILL be on your exam or quiz.READ your book& take notes takeColorful notes

He isn't a great professor. He does show interest in what hes teaching, but overall if I never would have to take him again I wouldn't be upset. He gives hints that are never on the test, the notes he gives are useless, and taking him online he opens everything up again for the people who missed it. pointless to even try. RECOMMEND NOT TO TAKE HIM!

He could barely pronounce words from the textbook if he ever used it in class. All of his tests are online which was good but none of his notes from lecture were on the tests. If I do not have to take him ever again I won't be upset about that.

Comment:

Marshall's intro to sociology class was not just an easy gen ed like most of them. You have to go to class and take a lot of notes. His exams are online but the questions are extremely unfair. He tests you on material that was never covered and random statistics that you wouldn't even know. But since it's online you can look it up.

As I read the other ratings, I wondered if there was perhaps two Dr. Marshalls at LHU. Some spoke truth: he will show up late (up to 20min) or cancel almost every day, can't teach anything coherently, and unless you're AfAm, you might as well be an alien. I did better not going to class than going. He was a main reason why I majored out of Crim J.

Dr. Marshal really knows his stuff, especially if you take his law enforcement class, he is a former police officer for New orleans. His tests can be hard if you do not take notes but I was able to get an A on them without really reading the book. He gives "Hints" for tests if you go to class. He only cancels class once in awhile.

Great teacher, He cancels class a lot and ends early. The tests are not hard but not easy. If you go to class and take notes you will be fine. he does not take attendance but if you dont go your grade will suffer. the tests are all online as well so open book open notes!!

I loved his class. He is very helpful and clear about what he wants. If you show an interest, and go to him, you will be fine. Textbook use is not a must but he does refer to it on the test sometimes. This man is very knowledgeable.Very laid back man. I enjoyed it.

This class is horrible... He makes no sense and says he is teaching from the book, when he is really going against what the book says. VERY VERY hard to make out what he is trying to say. I am going to get a C+ in this class when I deserve a B+. He screws you.
