Comment:

Ernesto is such a sweet man and has the biggest heart! Easy class too! Great for just getting the credit out of the way because he speaks mostly in English. Ask questions and show that you are engaged and he will adore you. A little- just participating once per class really- is enough and you're solid to get a relatively easy A.

Comment:

A jolly, funny guy who has fun, laid-back classes. Not the best class if you're trying to proceed to higher level Spanish since he talks in English a lot, but the perfect one if you just need to pass Spanish 2030 to meet requirements. One of my favorite professors.

Boudet is the man! Super funny and the class was really easy. I've heard his higher level classes are tougher though. But for 1120 as long as you take the tests and make some sort of sense you pretty much get an A. He "has an attendance policy" but if you talk to him after missing a class it doesn't even matter. Class is really boring though.

Boudet is a very good guy and a decent professor. We only did the activities out of the book during class all semester which is very disappointing, but that is a department issue rather than a professor issue. He is a decently difficult grader, though people who took intro Spanish with him said it was a joke. He also wears cool suits to class.

Boudet is the sweetest, funniest man. That being said, he's not the greatest teacher. He tries hard, but there's a decently large disconnect between him and his students. I would say he's easier than other Spanish professors, but I wouldn't recommend him if you're actually trying to learn Spanish.

Comment:

Boudet is nice but I loathed this class. Extremely disorganized. Doesn't give major grades back until the end. Grades spoken tests/projects as if you should have a native accent. (My Mexican friends have commended me for my pronunciation and Boudet always gave me D's for it.) We rarely even spoke Spanish in class. I mean, at this level? C'mon.

This guy is the man. Most recommended for spanish. Struggled in 1010, made 1020 easy to handle. Little work outside of class, felt like I got more out of the language and grammar than I had previously. Try to get him for whatever level of spanish you are taking.

The boss of all bosses. Coolest guy ever, super easy grader which takes the stress away and makes you actually enjoy learning the language. Plus he wears a different fly suit every day, and rocks the hell out of the white suit with purple vest combo. Just an OG. Highly recommend to anyone.

This guys is definitely the man. Even if you hate Spanish, his stories about Cuba, his great sense of humor, and his stylish choice of suits will make you love this class! He is great. He's very fair and wants everyone to learn. This man has a clear passion for the Spanish language. Got his Ph.D TWICE! Once in Cuba, and once here! Must take.

On the one hand, he is a very nice man and his class is very easy. On the other hand, his grading seems kinda arbitrary, I didn't learn much, and class is so boring. If you really want to learn/improve your Spanish (like I did), don't take him. If you don't care about that and just want an easy A or B, take him.

I don't understand why people are so crazy about this guy. I took Spanish with him because all of the reviews made him sound really good, but this is honestly the most boring class I have ever taken at Tulane. He grades WAY too hard, and never explains any of the grammar points. But, he is a nice guy and tells funny stories during class.

Professor Boudet is the nicest professor I have at Tulane. He tells crazy stories and is always cracking jokes. He is from Cuba, but easy to understand and speaks in English when explaining things such as grammar. To keep it simple: he is the best.

Just check his Rate my professor ratings, Boudet is clearly the man. He tells the funniest stories in class, but at the higher levels only speaks in spanish which could be kind of annoying. However he is very clear with what he expects of you and not too tough of a grader on group projects. Take him for spanish!

If you ever get a chance to take a Spanish class, take one by Boudet! He's absolutely hilarious...always making jokes in class. He's a good teacher, doesn't assign to much work, and makes Spanish easy to understand. He is also very stylish. There is no one in the world who doesn't adore this guy. He rocks!
