Professor Turnbach was the absolute worst professor I ever had at Northampton Community College. He would print out "Notes" packets and then spend the entire class reading off of it and copying everything, from the packet that you already have, onto the board. He never sets due dates for homework and there are only around three tests a semester.

College algebra is a dry and easy subject. I struggle to think how it could be made more interesting. What he offers is a wide berth of personal experience that he is willing to share to those who meet him after class. From failed college student, to marine, to graduate, to masters, to PHD. He offers good counsel if your thinking of major in Math.

TERRIBLE. He does not teach, he gives you his notes and re-writes them on the board. The notes are also very hard to understand. His grading is a bit easy on tests, but he just does not TEACH very well. Im a nursing major, who studies and takes school serious, wasnt expecting an A but thought a B+ was possible. IF his names didn't give you a clue... Turnback and run away from this professor. Yes you can use a cheat sheet for his test and yes that did help me. He is not clear enough to even know what to write on that sheet. The blank piece of paper was clearer than Prof. Turnbach

PLEASE do not take class with this professor under any circumstances. My class of 35 shrunk down to 10 by the end of the semester, I had to withdraw and retake it. Save your money and choose a better professor.

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. I dread going to this class every day. All he does is hand out outlines and write them on the blackboard word for word. Asking for help is pretty useless as chances are he won't understand your question. I use tutoring to learn the material and go to class just so I don't get dropped. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!

The guy is pretty boring. His quiz's are a bit tough but he lets you use a cheat sheet on his tests and final. He isn't that bad of a guy just isn't very clear and is just stuffy. Would i recommend him, no; but i wouldn't tell you he's the worst teacher ever. He wont go over things because "theres no time" so just go to the tutoring lab if you need

OMG where should I begin?! Turnbach is HORRIBLE. I took stats in high school and got an A. I am great in math but I have a C in his class. He thinks he is teaching but isn't at all. He wont answer your questions and gets made when you dont understand something. He doesn't do and practice problems or homework. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!!!!

This teacher doesn't teach. He thinks he is but in reality he's not explaining anything and when you ask him a question he just expects you to know what he's talking about. The semester began with around 23-24 students and the last day there was 6 or 7. The day of exams only 3 showed.
