George strikes me as a bored older guy just "phoning it in" until retirement. His labs, mostly written by him, are full of errors, inconsistencies, references to obsolete software functions, etc. His lectures feel improvised and unfocused. He has a permanent teacher's assistant, and they still can't seem to keep the classes functioning consistently

I have taken multiple classes with George. In the last couple years he has improved in his helpfulness, compared to some of the other reviews. He sometimes goes off on a tangent, and sometimes what he says needs clarifying, but he is a good teacher in my experience.

1st, you are on your own in his classes. It's like independent study, except you go to his class all week. 2nd, of course take notes, attend lectures, but don't expect to pass cisco tests based on his information. Study online material!! George is a nice guy and very knowledgeable, but he tends to tangent off topic. Study hard and avoid taking him.

Basically we only had 4 lectures the entire quarter. This is the advanced Server class after you take CNA 122. You are on your own everyday, but George does help everyone in this class, which was shocking to say the least.

Some of the things out of that mans mouth makes me wonder what he grinds up and sips on during the day. He enjoys teaching, but if you struggle, heaven help you.

This guy enjoys looking at students having trouble and saying "that's funny" and laughing as he walks away and sometime leaves the class. And will not help students with their questions. Often times saying just google it, or it worked on my server. I bet he is still runnin XP on his comuter, While the rest of us are on 7.

Kinda easy. lacks control over class. Very spacey. The reading material was online w/ Cisco. There are in class work sheets and some home work. Class gets boring half the time. You have to read and take notes to do well on the tests tho. Covers a lot of material but you learn the basics. Meh, have to take this class

This class is not for beginners...If you think just because you networked your PS2 and PC together you're damned good...you're still not up for this class...I should know....It's for people who have experience in Networking and such. I sit here and listen to a spiel of CoAx cable and am pretty lost. T__T

One of the few instructors that prepares his students for the real world. The outdated information they complain about is called legacy and is still being used in many offices and businesses and also is quite important on the certification tests. He will help any student that is making an effort to learn. He doesn't like whinners, but who does!

SPENDS WAY TO MUCH TIME ON CRAP THAT ISN'T NEEDED IN THE REAL WORLD WORK FORCE. TRIES TO TRICK STUDENTS ON TEST QUESTIONS. NEEDS TO UPDATE IS TEACHING SKILLS AND HIS POWER POINTS AS MOST OF THEM ARE OUT OF DATE.

I'm an A/B student, even in George's classes. If you care about your grade, don't get on his sh**t list, or he'll really do everything within his power to see you fail. He conducts his classes as ongoing attempts to "stump" his students, rather than sessions of learning. He enjoys this as well.

**** SOB!!! There were two of us, both had the SAME answers on a test (we studied together), and somehow the female of the two consistantly was marked wrong on answers identical to the male's, which were correct.

Very intolerable of people that "don't get it" right off the bat. Seems he expects people to know this material before taking this technical course. No patience and very unfair grading system. I do not recommend taking any of his classes.

Not at all a good instuctor. Study guide has nothing to do with the tests. Rarely puts anything related to the lecture on the tests.
