I found this class very difficult. He speaks very quietly, and very monotone. Majority of all the tests are on the reading, so do it. His grading isn't super bad on essay components though. Luckily I pulled an A in the class, but definitely would not recommend.

Very sweet old man. He is a tough grader and most of the test material and any essays are all from the textbook. You will barely pass without it if you are good at bs-ing. He does not have a TRACS. He gives you the topic and definition at the beginning of class and spend the rest lecturing on examples. This makes it fairly easy for the first test.

This professor talks way too softly, his lectures are boring and useless when it comes to test material, and he does not put any information on TRACS at all and is terrible at emailing back! Don't take this professor if you can avoid it.

Very smart, knows what he's talking about, BUT dull as a rock. He can talk for half an hour and still not get to the point. Don't take him if you need to be entertained and don't take this class at 8am if you can help it.

This professor is useless. His class is way too easy, and it is a lecture. There is no philosophy, no communal debate, no challenge. If you want a blow off class, here you go. If you do not want to sit in a lecture and hear him tell you what philosophy is, then stay away. If you try to disagree, hell talk in a circle and go on with his lecture.

Very nice man! He rambles on. Repeats material over and over. Tests are hard and he is very unclear about the readings required for tests. Notes are irrelevant when it comes to the test, and when I ask what I should study for the final he said everything. Not a good Intro class.

He's talks very soft, and goes on and on about the same material. He is very old, and forgets things often. I dreading going every time. He's a hard grader, and overall I got a C in the course. He made the course too difficult for an introductory class. If you can get another teacher.. I would.

Interesting, yet still difficult to stay awake at times. He does have a monotone, but stay sharp because he also has a wonderfully droll sense of humor (look for the axe wielding phil professor in one example). Tests are fairly difficult. I had a firm grasp on the material and still made a B (you DO have to do the assigned reading, and I didn't)

Definitely sit near the front because he is hard to hear and kind of monotone. Take GOOD notes and READ all of the assigned readings. Fulmer can be kind of boring (talking about the same things for several classes) but as long as you listen, take good notes, and read the readings (I would recommend reading them more than once) you will do fine! :)

He's monotone, so it's hard to pay attention. Take good notes and do ALL the readings. You're going to spending more time on this class than others because some of the readings are confusing.

great teacher! class was a blast. i took it just for fun. it is upper level so the assignments/tests were pretty intense but it was worth it. classes became more of an open discussion rather than a lecture. covered great concepts. everything made sense. easy to go to with questions. very friendly man. reminds me of my grampa

Like pretty much everyone said, there is A LOT of reading. But, he's pretty laid back. You can only have 2 absences, but all you have to do to make up others is write a one page summary of a reading. If you take good notes and study you'll do fine. He's very nice and willing to help when you need it.

This class is pretty easy, but very, very boring. He talks about the same simple concepts for at least two or three weeks. However, it isn't hard to make good grades on the tests/essays.

Gives a lot of reading assignments some very difficult to understand and some quite enjoyable (magicians, psychics, illusionists). He gave 2 objective tests, one 500 word essay, and the final (which only counted for 10% of grade) you must read the assignments and take lecture notes. Class was a lot EASIER than it first seemed.

Well, if philosophy doesnt interest you you'll probably be bored, but if it does this is a good prof to take. Conservatives dont like this prof. Dont take this prof if you dont want your beliefs confronted. He wont shy away from arguments that may rub most
