Dean Houston is really the BEST professor and dean at Fordham! He is crystal clear, lectures are very interesting, treats all students equal and extremely helpful. He takes interest in each student to make sure everyone is doing great in his class. I never was interested in history, but after taking his class, I love history!!!Must take his class!

Comment:

Houston is a good teacher. Instead of writing notes , he give everyone a outline of what he will be talking about in class. He is very clear in what he wants. There is only 2 test, one presentation, and one paper. It is a good class for 7 classes on Sunday every other week.

Took Professor Houston for the 6 hour course on Sunday. He is an amazing professor and the class moved quickly and was very interesting. Test questions were challenging but he allows you to bring in two pages of notes. If you read the material, you will do very well. A few papers and a presentation were also done. Excellent History teacher!

Gives out "study guides". Open book tests. Not many assignments, work load is a joke. Lectures are interesting and entertaining. Easy A. YOU WILL LEARN. Real Fordham man. God Bless him. Best Dean ever.

I have to say I was shocked at my outcome in this class. Dean Houston has always been a very straight forward guy but after being in his class? I must say the experience was grand and I couldn't have had a better professor. The material isn't rocket science and the assignments aren't too difficult. Take his class, you won't be disappointed!

Really motivational teacher, really there to help his students. One of the best teachers I have had in regards to the fact he keeps the students awake. I took a class with him that was 8+ hours each day for 4 days. He managed to keep us all in the game while not being overbearing. Very knowledgeable of the subject and true fordham man.

It would be an understatement to say Prof. Houston is a great teacher. He is BEYOND GREAT!!! Very nice person, very understanding of any personal situation. He made a long 5hr Sunday class very short in a good way. His door is ALWAYS open for visit. This man states his purpose is to see every student pass and he is telling the truth. Easy A!

Honesty, I've never loved a teacher more. He is SO helpful, SO clear, realizes we've taken West History before AND is HILARIOUS (possibly unintentionally but it doesn't matter). TAKE HIM.
