You will read a lot, but most of her classes just lead to one big paper at the end. Work hard and participate and you will get a good grade. She just wants you to learn. Absolute gem.

A fun, creative lady who knows her material well. An easy A professor that will like you as long as you are kind, talk in class, and care. Such a great person to know! Would totally recommend.

Professor Gundaker offered all students in her freshman seminar an independent study and I took her up on the offer. Working with her is a pleasure! She truly cares for her student's well-beings and tells great stories. If you have the opportunity to take a class with her DO IT. You will not be disappointed.

Professor is extremely intelligent but talks in circles and has a hard time forming clear thoughts. Does not return any grades all year and when asked at end of semester for them over email she refused. I do not recommend this course AT ALL.

If you're looking for a structured curriculum this is not the freshman seminar for you. If you want to learn about interesting things you would never hear about elsewhere without your grade being on the line, take this class. She is kind and clever. It was nice to just relax and learn in a noncompetitive class environment.

Interesting subject, stereotypes and issues but she just talked in circles and we usually never went over the reading. Papers are only real grades and she was very helpful with that process.

She assigns readings but we didn't usually discuss them because we ran out of time discussing some random thing that came off the top of her head. Clearly she's smart and knows what she's talking about but we just couldn't keep up with her. Interesting seminar though.

Comment:
if you can figure out how the class has anything to do with what you read, you're clearly a genius somewhere near her level; not too bad though--do your questions for discussion even though she won't use but one from the whole stack; she's easy to confuse
