SO MUCH WORK. you have to outline the entire textbook to be prepared for his exams as the material he lectures on is only worth 25% of the exams. He is really helpful in office hours and a very nice man, but he teaches an unnecessarily difficult class.

For the tests, you have to memorize the textbook. His lecture material only consists of 25% of every test, teaches a lot of unnecessary material. Lectures are boring and his jokes are awkward. However, in his office hours he is very helpful and added 4 percent to everyone's final grade.

Professor Tryon is very nice, quirky, and odd. He's an okay professor...quite boring, really. But I shouldn't complain too much because he's always willing to help during his office hours. You don't have to go to class, but when studying for tests you really have to read the textbook and study the powerpoints. Nothing too hard, nothing too easy.

Prof Tryon was fantastic. He's so sweet and very very helpful. Definitely take him! If you simply just read the textbook, the tests are easy and there is so much opportunity for improvement in this class. Plus there are killer curves that the end of every test. Tryon is wonderful, one of the most helpful professors Ive had at fordham.

he's not a great teacher, but he's not terrible. it's just that he's boring and his slideshows can put you to sleep. the subject is interesting. he give 8 tests, drops the lowest- they are 40 multiple choice from textbook and 4 short answers from slides. if you study the textbook religiously and go over slides you'll do okay. he usually gives hints

I really like psych, and I wouldn't have done as well if I hadn't taken AP Psych. He gives 8 tests and drops the lowest. There's also lab. On the tests- 40 mc (2 pts) based on the textbook and 4 short answer based on lecture. The problem is that his lectures don't reflect the reading at all- more specific. Very helpful during office hours though.

Professor Tryon is purely wonderful. He makes it his goal to help students excel. He is very very kind. Attend his office hours--stats is hard but he teaches from the notes. STUDY THE NOTES for the test, textbook helps but you really don't need it.

My favorite teacher for the semester An overall great guy I'm not saying the lectures are great-I skipped more classes than I probably attended but I always met with him the day of the exam he gave me hints as to what was on the short answer ?s This along with the slide shows and reading the chapters 2-3 times prior to the exams will earn you an A

The tests are killer but he curves in the end. He is kind of all over the place in class. I ended up with pictures and scribbles all over my notebook that I had no idea where they came from. Pay attention to his "secret pop quizzes" because that's where most of the exam questions come from.

This class is not hard at all considering how helpful he is at office hours. Students only think he is hard because they sleep in class and feel as though they learned nothing. But atleast he is a very nice guy and if he sees you trying he will give u a nice grade. Alot averaged 80s on midterm and test and still got an A-. 85=A 75=B

This man is so sweet, cool, and nice. His lectures are entertaining, while others "slept" i was laughing a ton... he loves throwing in jokes, and puts on a funny voice once in a while... read the textbook and memorize most of the key terms and you should be fine. Visit him during office hours, the man is extremely helpful and friendly.

really cute. really nice. really not a great teacher. he goes way too in depth, and you really dont need to know half of the information. his lectures make no sense, but you have to just write down everything he says b/c he puts it all on the tests. he doesnt curve, but you can still get a higher grade on a test if you ask him to look it over.

Doesn't curve. Somewhat boring so it is really easy to dose off. If you dose off you miss out on his explanations which is key to passing the class because his tests consist of exactly what he says in class. However, he is a pretty nice guy and helpful if you need him. Take good notes and ask questions.

you have to go to class for attendence otherwise bring a pillow or work. everything done in class is on blackboard and is only 20% of each test. know the tbook inside and out. see him for office hours, it helps when there are 150 in your class. good lab grades help you. test can be hard if you dont read the text. listen for hints. final is a test.

Grades based on 7 tests and labs. Gives the occasional hint about tests, but kinda on your own. Not big on curving. If you want to have a class that you can sleep through, this is it.

the class itself is really boring.. waste of my time.. and the grades are pretty bad in the class although there are people who do well (as always).. but if you go talk to him, he's really nice and understanding and tries to help you out!
