Pretty great guy, all around funny dude. Will admit his assignments were on the longer/ difficult side (as in don't try and do it in one night) but even then he gave the exam questions out in advanced and allowed student to brings a 1 sided page to the exam. He believed quality was better than half remembering things. Sadly I believe he retired now

wouldn't recommend. The projects are large and very difficult. Not to mention that when you get your mark back it will not represent the amount of time you put into it. Really tough grader.

Horrible! I hated this class. All of the assignments were way too long and it was too hard to find the right answers to anything.

Assignments in this course are ridiculously long and hard. He asks for a ton for information and most of the time I have trouble finding it. I wouldn't recommend this course.

This course has been the hardest course I have taken! His assignments have four parts, multiple choice, short answer, essay and some other random task. The information he asks for is extremely specific and he will then list five DATA BASES that you need to look through to find it. You will end up reading hundreds of articles! Worst prof I have had!

Robert "Hobbs" was a terrific professor. Welcoming and helpful with assignments. Gave good feedback when approached about it. Makes you think outside of the box and outside of society mandates. Participation was helpful to further grasp the material. Two key assignments worth 25% hard but easy to do well if you apply yourself. Participate!

Great personality, he cares about his students. Has a plan for the class, but goes off tracks often. Heavy readings, few assignments but they are very long and hard. He isn't an easy grader, you have to work if you want to pass.

Hobb is super cool, he is a philosopher so prepared to get off topic once and while, but you will learn without realizing you are learning. Take notes, they will help with his assignments. His assignments are long but not too difficult. He is very understanding and will always answer your emails and questions.

The class itself was very well structured and interesting readings. The professor is hard to get a hold of, be prepared and make sure to correspond at least 2 weeks prior to the due date because most of the time there is no response and you have to be persistent with questions. Other than that, easy course to get an 80 in with not a lot of studying

Crime & Punishment I & II = Amazing! I loved every minute of it. The material is like reading a very interesting documentary and is by far the easiest class to get an 80 or above with only reading. My only complaint is that I am done both classes and there are no more :(

By far the best Envision classes offered. Crime and Punishment I and II are sincerely interesting and fun. The teacher actually responds to emails and helps you. He also gives you all the tools you need to pass with HIGH grades. Do the reading, apply yourself and it WILL pay off. Smart and interesting man and I've never even met him. SO WORTH IT!!!

Took both Crime & Punishment Courses (Envision) and loved every minute. Very helpful and dedicated to his work. Would def take his class again and recommend him to anyone. There may be lots of reading but it's all interesting and relevant info. Wish there were more profs like him. Allowed cheat sheet into exam was a bonus!

annoying work to complete that seemed irrelevant to real life... I dont care about chimp behaviour and I dont care about how ancient law relates to monkeys... the only good thing was that we were allowed a cheat sheet for the exam. if you take this class be ready for a lot and i mean a lot of reading!

Laurentian University should have done everything in its power to keep him from quitting, even then maybe he would leave anyway. It is a tragedy that future students will not learn from this great teacher.
