If you don't know anything about music this is not an easy A as it would seem. The assignments given are too in depth (music theory) from what the book offers (Rock history) and he doesn't post any type of lectures, power points or notes. I am jealous of the ppl who took this course @ other schools and it was based solely on the history of rock

What a great laid back teacher! I was having issues getting textbooks and he was very understanding. He is willing to help you with questions and assignments. There are some tests that are difficult, but if you read the material you should be fine.

I started out as a music major and after 2 12 years of this professor I quit. He yells and teases students in front of the whole band and says things like "do you even know how to count?" If you are going to NCC and love band find a community band else where.

I didn't like how he approached his style in the way of organizing the band. He switched around people on instruments who had no clue how to play the instrument (he even switched me from sax to percussion, how does that work?!). I wasn't impressed by him at all. He made my love of band go down the tube.

Intro to Music Online class. Tests are difficult. Few papers but they are extensive. Exams are difficult. Self-paced, all one deadline, easy to work with schedule. School and work balance was good. Did not read the book, so I struggled a bit. Follow the book and the course will be easy.

The class is.an essey A even if one doesnt always practise. Kurschneris understanding and helpful, and makes sure your ready to play each day! He.does get mad if one is lateor not ready to play! However do hope to see him at some of the community band concerts this summer!

I love this class. He only gets frustrated with those members who don't show up, always late, or can't play their parts consistently. Wouldn't you be?! He is very passionate about music and my friends and family love our concerts!

I could not stand this man. I am a music major and I actually withdrew from band because of Mr. Kurschner. His music choices are, in my opinion, average. He yells at students and is extremely harsh in critiques.

It's band. It's and easy A if you show up and participate in class. He's really nice about you missing days if you let him know ahead of time depending on the reason. Is biased sometimes about students missing class, but otherwise, very awesome professor.
