Dr. Applegate is more focused on her students than on herself. Her expectations are usually quite clear, and she is happy to answer questions and clarify if a student requests help. She knows her subject, is up-to-date on her research, and facilitates real learning without resorting to the assignment of busy work.

I enjoyed Dr. Applegate. I found her very helpful if you are willing to meet with her outside of the classroom and discuss a grade when unhappy with it. I began getting C?s in her class, but soon started to earn A?s with her help. She certainly has a certain way that she wants things done, but she is not close minded. She cares about her students.

An incredibly BAD teacher! She is so out of touch. She should just retire and leave it to professors that know a thing or two. Boring. Thinks she is superior. Her philosophy is "do as I say, but not as I do".
