Professor Mann is a great teacher and loves Archaeology. His workload is not above normal limits but when he says he wants a certain amount of effort he means it and it will reflect in your grades. Put in the effort and be clear and concise in your work and you can easily make an A. Be ready to read and type, a lot, but also to learn a lot.

3 exams (heavy), no quizzes, easy discussions, 1 paper, no way of knowing if you are retaining the right information until the exams. Its almost like he didnt exist. It was like first day of class *took a long forgettable nap* then final exam. If you are looking for an easy A, take his class.

Mr. Mann doesn't give a lot of assignments. There are about 4 tests total for the semester but he makes it so easy to pass. He posts the powerpoints/lectures and videos a few days prior to each test BUT you still need to go to class because there are oftentimes discussions that we have in class that are not on the powerpoint. He's very chill.

Great Republican Auburn educated professor with a ponytail. Will bypass the junk and actually teach you things. Knows how to lecture and instructed in a manner that will make the information stick. VERY fair on tests & quizzes. If you don't skip and participate you will understand this Mann. He expects the standard that he makes clear on day one.

We were only graded on tests and optional extra credit (one page paper). You don't need to go to class because he puts powerpoints online, but he takes attendence randomly. Tests are fairly easy as long as you study (he tells you what will be on the exam the day before).

I found Professor Mann to be an excellent teacher and was always on path with his lectures and assignments. You will pass if you do the work. Very understanding about computer issues and so forth. Would definitely take him every chance I got.

Dr. Mann is an interesting teacher and highly interested in anthropology so a good lecturer. Good class, but high pressure as he does 4 tests including the final. This is the entire grade. Not an easy A, so take him to learn not to get easy credits. Can't get a hold of him outside of class. No study guides or homework. Study hard, you may get an A.

Professor Mann will not give you an A. You have to go to class, take notes and read the assigned chapters. If you want an easy A don't take him because he wants you to actually learn the material. He is as real as they come he dresses like an archeologist and is very down to earth.

Great Professor! One of the most interesting Professors at Troy University. He made me want to change my major. He presents the information in a way that keeps your attention. The tests are not multiple choice but easy if you study and read the chapters. I am absolutely taking him again.

Mann knows what he's talking about. As far as character in the classroom, he is somewhat lacking. He's very dry and loves to try to "stump the chump" before explaining things. Go to class, pay attention, take notes, and you'll pass with flying colors.

He uses PowerPoint for his lectures. If you write down whatever the slide says, you're good to go. We only had four exams including the final, which was not comprehensive.

My perception of Professor Mann is not as low as others, but still pretty low. he's not very kind hearted guy, and completely non-religious from what i could tell. I made an A and i thought it was the easiest class ever, but i attended class religiously. Don't bother buying a book, just go to class and take hella-good notes and you'll be straight.

Says he makes his tests hard "on purpose". Is not helpful and will not email you back if you have questions about the quiz. Took 2 hours to do 100 question test and most of them weren't in the book. The book he uses is outdated information if you follow the science field at all. LOTS OF SPELLING ERRORS on his True and False exam.

GPA Killer. He tests over 9 chapters and uses and implied and applied method. Will not show what answers you selected for quiz so you can not argue your point of reasoning. Everyone is required to take anthropology, this class shouldn't be so hard. HORRIBLE!!!

Mr. Mann is a good teacher. If you go to class, take notes, and skim over the book you will get an A. The class is very interesting, but he doesn't like stupid questions so make sure you know what you're talking about!
