Lectures are boring and never relate to the assignments. He doesn't give tests, but the essays are graded REALLY tough. It's a fairly easy class, but the essays will really hurt your grade

Lectures are interesting but the material isn't relevant to the assignments, which consisted of one easy group project, three essays, and a short research paper. He provides sessions to discuss papers and help answer questions. Attendance isn't mandatory except for the occasional graded iclicker questions (1pt each). Really easy class, I loved it.

He's a fun teacher. I enjoyed listening to him. He gives a lot of extra credit that helps a lot!! Each ARO is a one percent increase in your grade. I did like 10 AROs so it helped a lot. You use iclickers, which forces you to go to class, but sometimes I'd just give mine to someone and not go.. Take Sellen over anyone else!!

Attendance is mandatory. Class can be a little dull but he encourages discussion. The required reading is short and the discussion time allowed in class is more than enough. The few papers we had to write were not long. He didn't give any exams. Very open/cool guy to talk with during class.

Horrible professor. Has no acceptance of any oppinion other than his own. Is not afraid to humiliate or have prejudice against a student. Best way to pass the class is to never come and turn in exactly what he wants to hear in a paper. Other than that, it's a useless class.

Grades extremely hard on papers! If you can write really good papers take this class. When I took the class the TA was willing to go over the paper before I turned it in and gave me suggestions to make the paper better. That helped alot.

He's ridiculously unorganized yet grades very hard (might just be TA's)he changed the syllabus at least 3 times and we were about 2 weeks behind at the end of the class. I strongly recomend a different professor. Unless you are really good at writing papers.

Ok, this was a very easy class for me. Let me just clarify everything: if you are better at writing essays and reading responses (like I am) TAKE THIS CLASS. If you enjoy studying for exams, DON'T TAKE IT. This was an awesome class for me because there are no exams, and also don't take notes on his lectures, you don't ever need them...
