Dr. Jen is awesome. In my opinion, the only reason people don't like her is because they aren't used to having to work. The workload is perfectly reasonable for such a class, and intended to help the students understand the concepts.

Dr. Jen is great! It's next to impossible not to get an A in this class, unless you don't go to the field trips. Let us use all of our old lab materials on the midterm. You can tell she definitely cares about her students and enjoys the content (even if she is super stressed). Homework is time intensive, but all the answers are in the book.

Dr. Jen, honestly was one of my favorite and least favorite professors all at once. Some days, she was nice, and some days she wasnt. As long as you show up, take really good notes ( because your notebook gets graded) you will pass. Get together with your group to study.

I had this professor for ESS 112. She was very rude to the class and does not give good feedback. She rolled her eyes every time a student asked her a question. There is a lot of group work and hands on assignments in the classroom. Attendance is very important.

Syllabus did not have correct dates and did not warn us of upcoming exams and reading quizzes. I was not able to get ahold of her outside of class via email. Every class period was either lecture notes or exercises that were graded very specifically. She thinks everyone in the class is in that major and doesn't realize some take for gen ed.

One of the most scattered professors I've ever had. She takes forever to grade assignments and exams(months), is never available to ask questions, and her lectures never correspond to what her exams are over. I wouldn't recommend anyone taking her unless absolutely necessary.

Wonderful professor! Cares deeply about her students without being to heavy of a grader. There are lots of field trips in her class that count as exam grades! Highly recommend this class to anyone who need another spot in their schedule

The class is very hands on, which helps. She doesn't really teach the content so notes for tests are hard to study, the book helped a little bit but not much. Do not get on her bad side because she will hate you the entire semester and she'll let it be known. When you ask questions, be prepared to feel like you have inconvenienced her.

Despite my initial dread of taking this course I found that I enjoyed it quite a bit. There is a lot of hands on activities that reinforces the material being taught. She has equal expectations of all her students including students with disabilities. Although be prepared to read the textbook and don't expect Google to help.

This class was tough, but Dr. Jen knew so much about the subject, you couldn't help but learn something. The notebook was the difference between an A and a B in the class for me, so make sure you keep your notebook up-to-date and insert everything you do in the class. She makes sure that future educators know science standards and how to meet them.

You should read the entire textbook before coming to class. She doesn't teach, and what she does teach in no way relates to the final or the tests. she is scatter brained and will talk about her students with other classmates when they are not present. She doesn't understand what goes into teaching, when she should be teaching other how to teach.

There is a lot of hands-on work which isn't so bad. She grades notebooks & does hardly no lecturing so personally it was hard for me to take notes to study for tests, but there is a blackboard assignment before each test that has similar questions. Tests are taken partially alone and partially in groups. I'm just glad I have it over with.

The worst professor I've ever had. The homework has nothing to do with what you talk about in class, and all of the homework assignments are ridiculously long. Her directions for in class work and vague and confusing. She should not be a teacher of any sort.

Worse class/teacher in the world. She taught like we were 1st graders. Her tests were all over the homework, and the homework was never over anything we learned in class. We had to teach ourselves for the homework. It sucks that its required for teachers, but if you dont have to take it, DONT

Towards the end of the year, I started to enjoy this class especially suring the Porject WET portion. Other than that, the class was horrible, as was the teaching. I didn't learn anything. If it weren't for the tests being graded on a curve, I would've failed this class miserably.

Dr. Jen was different. A lot of people had a problem with her, but I really didn't. As long as you get the work right on blackboard and print it off to study, you will get at least a B on her tests because it is all the same questions. She was helpful to me because she let me come in and she helped me with all of my Blackboard problems. Ok Teacher.

This Woman couldn't teach herself out of a paper bag. All of these comments that tell you how nice, helpful and what a great teacher she is, is nothing but a big lie. Unless you like being told that you would make a horrible teacher, try to take this class with someone else.

Ignore all ratings that aren't 2009!! This woman is an absolute terror. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! You will develop a severe hatred of all rocks. SHE ALWAYS GIVES HOMEWORK OVER THE WEEKEND! She is patronizing and treats every student as if they are an illiterate jackass. She gets angry for no reason and tells her students that 5th graders are smarter
