Awesome prof! I had him for an 8AM class, so like many of the reviewers, I had trouble with keeping awake. However, what I learned in his class gave me the strengths to get into UC Berkeley and work at NASA. Take this class if you want to really learn how to write and think critically. You won't regret it.

He seems like a very nice guy, and as a human being, I've got nothing against him. But in regards to teaching, this guy is past his prime. I ended up dropping the class because I'd rather spend my money on a class where I actually learn something. And DONT take him in the morning. You will fall asleep soooo fast.

Out of all of my classes this is the class I dread the most. He is absolutely monotone, disorganized, and strays off topic A LOT. The way he grades essays is ridiculously unreasonable and he wastes so much time taking roll and struggling with the powerpoint pen tools.

I like how he was always on time to the 8AM class and came dressed in a suit. If you tell him you're having difficulty with an assignment, he'll take the time to really help you out. He also takes into account the student's life and responsibilities outside of school when he grades. You may fall asleep sometimes, but he is a good professor.

Yes, he can get lost in his stories, but he is a teacher that will help a student who seeks it. Just don't procrastinate on the work and turn something in. He gives credit for the work and even more credit if it's well-written. This class was the first time I ever heard the term "grace period" and it saved me so many times.

This is one of the worst teachers I ever had at Ohlone. He's useless when it comes to explaining things to his students. His tests and final are very hard. But his vocab tests aren't, as long as you read that vocab book.Don't take this class UNLESS you want to die from boredom and not learn anything.

Worst prof I have ever had. The dean should get rid of him. His class will start with 30 people and end the semester with 3. I wish everybody checked ratemyprofessor so they wouldn't make the mistake of taking his class. Wait another semester to take an English class instead of taking his class. Trust me.

This guy was inhumane. His class consisted 90% of him dolling on about life lessons that were completely unrelated to the material. He would then require us to break off into groups to discuss small amounts of material, expecting us to come up with large amounts thought. Then he would assign an essay redo and an essay due on the same day.

I dropped his class the first week! He is monotone, takes FOREVER to do role, talks about god knows what, and is extremely hard on grading. I wouldn't waste the time, the money, or the energy. English majors should expect a low LOW grade from this guy.

I took John Baczuk for Mythology. I have to honestly say that the worst part about his class is that he tends to stray off topic and waste valuble time. Our class was 3 weeks behind his syllabus at the end of the semester. His tests are nonsense. A perfect score is impossible, because he always has at least one question where every answer is wrong.
